New York City-based hip-hop duo Da YoungFellaz unveil their brand new single “The Town.” The Bravestarr-produced effort finds the pair delivering a lyrical libretto atop the scintillating production. Integrating personal backstories, the two swap retrospective raps about career ambitions, to life’s ups and downs, to their dealings with women.

The duo has used their independent grind and resiliency to catapult them to varying levels of success, all with little to no help outside of their immediate circle. It is not everyday that a Hip-Hop act can nab a Spellemannprisen Award, often credited as being the Grammy’s of Norway, all of this while being extensively covered on many of media’s biggest platforms. Since formally beginning their journey in 2012, the duo has released several projects, all with original music. In their time, Da YoungFellaz have collaborated with Hip-Hop luminaries such as Talib Kweli, Snoop Dogg, Nipsey Hussle and several others. Outside of the musical realm, they have applied their business sense into their independent label,

New Rich Entertainment, successfully circulating their projects via innovative marketing tactics and ingenuity. Drawing fans from across the globe, their music has accumulated over 1,300,000+ streams respectively. Their business sense was further cemented when Da YoungFellaz acquired sponsorships from brands such as Heavy Water Vodka, Filter017, Jimmy Taverniti and Moods of Norway.Armed with natural music talents, self-sufficient business acumen, a growing number of fans and the attention of corporate America, as well as the music industries elite, the sky is the limit for the pair out of New York City’s underground. It is smart to bet your money on Da YoungFellaz as being the new benchmark for Hip-Hop culture.

Producer HitMakerDot’s implementation of Billy Joel’s “New York State Of Mind” lends way to a sample from Mase’s infectious and memorable “24 Hours To Live,” setting the stage for Da YoungFellaz and company to go on a lyrical escapade. The record’s energy is overpowering as each MC demands the listeners attention. While it’s typically expected for a writer to pick a standout verse, doing so on this record would be a disservice to all six lyricists. “FDR Drive” IS New York Hip-Hop.

As he gears up to release his forthcoming project titled ‘The Capone Era’, Bronx, NY native Sal Capone keeps things strictly NYC as he links up with Sho-Biz of Da YoungFellaz on ‘Reminiscing’. The track, which is produced by Bravestarr, finds the pair reflecting on the lives of fallen comrades. With a soulful backdrop and heartfelt lyrics, the song can strike up memories for anyone who has lost a loved one.
