A few months back, we had the opportunity to interview Milwaukee-based emcees Dana Coppafeel and SPEAK Easy. The duo is back with their latest video, “Da City” which features guest verses from Streetz & Young Deuces (SNYD). The track comes from their project, Uni-Fi Records presents… Dana Coppafeel & SPEAK Easy, which dropped back in April. The concept for this song is to give the listener a feel of the artists on the road going from city to city, visiting YOUR hometown for a show, and rocking it like it’s their own.

The shooting of the video began in January of 2013 when Dana, Speak and SNYD traveled to Savannah, Georgia to play a show with Knife from the Dope Sandwich Crew. Half of the video was shot there in an art collective studio “de soto row” (desotorow.org) that mimics the remains of a broken down building filled with graffiti and other street art. The remainder of the video was shot on the road and in the artists’ hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
