Curtis Williams has returned with his new mixtape Danco SZN. The Atlanta emcee burst onto the scene in 2013 with the internet hit “Face it“.

Williams would later drop his cult classic debut tape Half Forgotten Daydreams. Since then Curtis has been featured in tracks produced by Mike Will Made it and featuring artists like Wiz Khalifa.

This time around Williams goes for a more robust sound on his new tape only including a handful of features including a collaboration with fellow Atlanta rapper, OG Maco.

Danco SZN is a quick project with only nine tracks, however, each song packs a punch. Williams enlists some of the heavyweight producers in the industry to handle the production on the project. This includes tracks with beats made by Sonny Digital and Lex Luger.

From a lyrical standpoint, Curtis takes a more aggressive approach to his bars and it pays off for him. Curtis’ aggression can really be felt on every track on this project and this really compliments the production. Standout cuts on the tape would have to be the headbanger, “Practice” and the menacing “No Strings Attached.”

If you’re looking for something new to bang in your whip or need a new gym playlist, then Danco SZN will be right up your alley.

Decatur, Georgia’s own TJ has taken a bit of time off since releasing new music, but this week, the young talent is back, linking up with Two-9 standout Curtis Williams for his latest track, titled “Savannah.” The mellow & sultry record is the second release from TJ’s upcoming project, “L I F E,” which is executive produced by Gwen Bunn, and is slated for a release in the Fall, namely in October.

The artist’s fans have been long awaiting the release of his full length mixtape and TJ knows they’re getting impatient. The Atlanta wordsmith has been keeping fans updated with his new music & roll out plans via his own personal blog, where he talks more about the upcoming mixtape release, “L I F E.” Check out an excerpt below.

Yoooo! So i know I been talkin bout this LIFE project for a while, and I haven’t been releasing any new material for a minute, but exactly a week from today on my 24th birthday Imma let you guys get a taste of this new music I been workin so hard on. Besides his solo album, Children Of The Rage, OG Maco has a joint project coming out soon with Curtis Williams and producers Cookin’ Soul. Titled OG Danco, the rising Atlanta rappers deliver the first release off the project with “Holeman & Finch,” which is named after Maco’s favorite restaurant. The track gives listeners a good idea of what to expect on the forthcoming release as they ride the spanish producers’ signature soulful production and drop quality reminiscent rhymes (“I used to have Xanax ways, Hustling in the days”).
