Memphis’ rising star Cool Courtney recently flooded the streets with a slew of heat when he unloaded his 19-track project, The Mud Mixtape. The mixtape captures the crux of Courtney’s undeniable persona as he flexes his raw talent over production from the likes of Drumma Boy, Cashmoney AP, Hot Rod, and Bruce Wayne. Additional production on the project was contributed by none other than Cool Courtney himself, further verifying his well-rounded artistry.

From unapologetic lyrics, to hard-hitting production from Pressure P, Courtney proves to be as raw as it gets time and time again and his new video is another extension of just that. In the flick, Courtney shows us that he’s always focused on the paper and in many cases it drives a wedge between him and his women. With his sights locked in on the cash, Courtney makes it clear that he can’t be tied down by anyone because it’s the money that he’s in love with and going broke is not an option. The Mud Mixtape is out now.

Since the dawn of American music, the city has served as a springboard for several new styles of music and Cool Courtney is one of the latest artists to emerge from the music-infused city.

Over the last several years, Courtney has amassed a cult-like following thanks to the release of multiple albums, mixtapes, and infectious singles. Not to be outdone, Cool Courtney is far from finished as he provides the streets with The Mud Mixtape — a 19-track opus that showcases the exuding confidence the Memphis native puts behind his song crafting ability while capturing the raw essence of his unique persona. With no features on the mixtape, Cool Courtney creates the perfect medium to exhibit his talent as an artist that can stand on his own two; not just in the booth, but behind the boards as well. Aside from two self-produced tracks, other production contributions come in from the likes of Drumma Boy, Cashmoney AP, Hot Rod, Bruce Wayne, and more.
