]]> leon2If you’ve been paying attention to music lately, you may have noticed that there’s a new sound of soul making waves. Who’s responsible you ask? Atlanta artist, Leon Bridges of course! If you don’t recognize his name by now, then maybe you’ll make yourself familiar with the sound that he’s confidently reinventing. Although we already have our contemporary R&B artists like The Weeknd, Trey Songz, and a couple of others, Leon Bridges isn’t shying away from making his own path at Columbia Records. This past spring he released his soulful album entitled Coming Home, was the breakout act at SXSW, as well as performing his song “Lisa Sawyer“ live for Hunger TV only days ago. Leon’s video for his singles “Coming Home“ and “Better Man“ have been getting multiple plays and support this summer by television stations like MTV and MTV2.  Bridges is currently on tour right now and is bringing his Sam Cooke, Ottis Redding, and Muddy Waters-inspired sound with him, along with the steez to match. Be sure to keep your ears available for what Leon is bringing to the table.
