YG Spotted in Japan for New “Word is Bond” Visual

YG is back at again but this time he’s showing Japan some love. The Def Jam recording artist shows his multiculturalism by filming abroad. From his new album Still Brazy, the music video for “Word is Bond” includes Slim 400 along with glimpses of Japanese locals.

Directed by Alex Erdmann, the visual includes both Japanese and English subtitles that gives a twist to the video. The English subtitles offer viewers a more neutral and watered down translation of the lyrics that YG and 400 are spitting.

Humurous.

Through this new visual we see bright chandeliers and low riders bringing an authentic Compton vibe meets old luxe feel. The video has a certain vibe to it almost emulating Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift minus the numerous fast cars, half-naked woman and Bow-Wow.

Golf Wang x Vans 2015 Old Skool Pack Release

Today Golf Wang’s latest sneaker collaboration with Vans released to the public. The boisterous sneaker will be released at both Blades locations in New York and is limited to only one color way out of the collection per customer. The purchase of the Van (which according to Baller Status is Tyler the Creator’s favorite thus far) will be first come, first serve. Although the sneaker was also recently available at Tyler’s gift shop/news outlet/apparel site, they are currently ALL sold out. ABRA & Vashite on Top: New Video + New Lookbook

Today is definitely a great day for Awful Records’ Abra! Just minutes ago, the talented songstress decided to drop her interview with i-D Magazine as well her new video for her single “U Kno“ from her latest album Rose. The video was shot and directed by the very dope UNIF Clothing and features Abra in a bath tub with a very talented skater (who you can catch at Babylon in LA) named Lil Phillis. Not only is her unique video making wave but her “Roses” single was also featured in Vashtie’s latest self-directed lookbook for Puma (who’s collection is available now). It’s great to see these women making dope moves and progressing in a major way! This collab was unexpected but nonetheless being highly appreciated. Although we’re hoping to see more coming from these two, here’s a peek at the fire that’s taking place here and now. Enjoy!
