With J57 and Natalie Andrea along for the ride, “City Hurts” deals with the ails of NYC, from crime, to poverty, to government. Koncept and J57 get dirty, with verses that tie tightly knotted pictures of the city struggle, with hope for flight out of despair offered by Natalie‘s hook. Extra points for borrowing a little from Blackstar‘s “Respiration” in the bridge, too.
