Marlo Teams Up With City Girls & Offset For “Soakin Wet” Visuals

Atlanta-based record label Quality Control is continuing to push the agenda of their forthcoming compilation album ‘Quality Control: Control The Streets Volume 2.’ Last week, we got a sneak peek of the project with their pair or pre-release singles: “Baby” and “Come On.” Today, ATL rapper Marlo drops the visuals for “Soakin Wet” featuring labelmates Offset and City Girls.

The OG Parker and Hitmaka-produced track release back in May. “Soakin Wet” is a sexually explicit track, referencing the woman’s vagina, hence the title. “Marlo’s been in development with QC these past two years and this summer is when people will really see his incredible talent,” Pee, CEO of QC, says in their latest press release.

Cousin Stizz Recruits City Girls For “Perfect”

Up and coming rapper Cousin Stizz dropped his three-track EP Cold Times back in September. The Boston emcee has been relatively quiet since then, until today. Stizz enlists Miami duet City Girls for his latest release, “Perfect.” The Lil Rich-produced track sees the artists rapping about their “perfect” counterparts. Check the visuals out below.

The Glass-directed video also includes a guest appearance from West Coast emcee Buddy. Although City Girls is featured, “Perfect” only features Yung Miami. In her verse, Miami shouts out her fellow bandmate: “I don’t wanna fuck with nan’ one of y’all hoes / Free JT automatic.” Listen to the song above and tell us what you think.

I think most of us can agree when I say that any song with City Girls and/or Megan Thee Stallion is going to be a hit this Summer. With that said, Juicy J decided to follow this formula with his latest, the addictive twerk-ready cut “Three Point Stance,” which does not disappoint. Added to the Crazy Mike and Juicy J-produced cut is the fact that a Teyana Taylor-directed visual is on the way soon. Yep.

It looks like we’ll be seeing a new A$AP Ferg album soon.

Following his recent single “Pups” (featuring A$AP Rocky) and a few notable feature appearances, the Harlem star returns with a new drop titled “Wigs,” a twerk-ready affair that sees assistance from Miami’s own City Girls and fellow Harlemite ANTHA. Revealed via Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Ferg explains the collaboration:

“City Girls is definitely killing it right now, I’m a fan of them and what they’re doing. They locking it down for all of the females around the world, and then ANTHA is my female artist, she’s like the female me… As far as the song and the concept, man, I was thinking about Good Hair, the documentary with Chris Rock. At first I was thinking it was a silly idea to make a wig song, but then… what do girls do when they twerk? They twerk, they booties is in the air, and their hair dragging on the floor because they head down and they asses up. So, I was just like this is natural, this is what girls do, it’s wigs on the floor, and that’s what I came up with.”
