Chris Scholar is wasting no time getting his name on the map in the music industry. The ingenious fly kid is giving his fans another visual off of his recent mixtape, Who is Chris scholar? The new Scholastic Vision visual  “Iggin” shows more of Scholar’s talents and what he’s all about.

The video starts off with some passionate moans as Scholar gives us a head trip as he’s walking down the street. If you’re not familiar with the song, Scholar seems to have found the woman who has him “Iggin.” He’s ignoring his lustful thoughts, and deleting numbers out his phone for that one girl. His skillful dance moves are certainly shown throughout this visual from beginning to end. Also, Scholar shows off some more of his self-made directing talents as he gives us illusions through color and movement.

It seems the consistency of visuals for Scholars fans will continue, at least we hope so!

Chris Scholar previously released his first visual “Moved to LA,” which premiered on Nylon Mag. Now we have “Iggin,” which I’m sure many can relate too. Sometimes we have that one we are willing to change our bad habits for.

Richmond, Virginia’s own creative, Chris Scholar is putting fans on an adventure as he gives us the “Moved to LA” video. The new visuals for the single gives us many pieces of the puzzle of who Scholar is. He delivers creative visuals, his smooth vocals and crisp dance moves through out the video

This visual takes us on a journey of this swaggy kid taking his talents to the west coast. Not only is he facing the challenges of an artist, he’s also on a task to get the girl he wants. This video will have you daydreaming and wanting to take your talents to wherever you feel is best. You ma just pack your bags and head to Los Angeles.

This video gives fans look of Scholar’s dance moves and vocals, but he also was the director of the video. A man with many talents will go a long way, especially with the determination Scholar brings forth to his work.

Chris Scholar premiered his new video on NYLON where he gives them his feelings on the video. “I’m excited because this is my official debut EP. I’m happy I’m finally able to share my journey and who I’ve grown into. I’m curious to see who has grown with me,” says Scholar to NYLON.

Moved to LA is receiving much buzz on many outlets and Scholar’s passion for his work will continue to impact the generation. Make sure you check out the new masterpiece visual below!

Independent artist, Chris Scholar is evolving and progressing when it comes to his countless skills in the music industry. His skills of dancing, singing, rapping and directing put you in the mindset of big entertainers, such as Usher and Chris Brown. There aren’t too many artists who can do it all, but with the confidence Chris puts into his work, he’ll continuously leave a mark in the industry.

Now we all have a chance to learn more about Scholar and his musical and engineering gifts. The Richmond, Virginia native has constantly been traveling, showcasing his technique by performing in shows, directing videos and songwriting. His main place for his talents ends up being Los Angeles, CA, “All my work out here is moving fast,” says Scholar. With the success of his work, living in LA was the next big step. “LA is challenging because of all the people making moves just like me, it’s like moving up in the league.” With the big move he made, those four walls, a mic and computer were his best friends.

Having a mentor like Grammy award winner, Harold Lilly and being in the industry since 16 is one of the reasons Scholar is an upcoming success today. “My writing skills have progressed, I’m self-sufficient. “It’s blessing to have hands-on experience. Being groomed by seeing artist in and out the studio creating music.” A day in the life of for this creative normally consists of coming up with various concepts for himself, but mainly other artists.

Scholar has also did some work with the legendary Usher, “He was coaching me, it was kind of cool to see how an artist at his caliber thinks.” Usher and another writer were trying to establish a hook but couldn’t quite get it right. “I walked in the booth told the engineer turn on the mic, I freestyle this whole hook, look out the door they’re vibing and Usher told me I’m the truth. ” The encouraging words from Usher gave Chris the confidence to understand that he can handle his self no matter who is in the room; he will not break.

Scholars latest project Who is Chris Scholar? consists of some music that will help you to understand his growth, giving you raw material. “I like that organic feel, it feels natural and feels real, say Chris, giving us a feel of the perks to being independent.” Also, his latest project leads up to his upcoming project Director’s Cut, where his songs will be more conceptual and not just for the radio.

Chris has an upcoming shows in New York at SOB’s on the Sept. 20th, one at Bunkers Cafe, Sept. 24th in VA. He will also be back in NYC at Soho Grand hotel on October 13th. If you’re looking for a show full of entertainment, check it out! It’ll be worth it.

Scholar released his debut single off his upcoming project “Directors Cut”. Having been MIA for almost eight months, Scholar released “Moved to LA” as his re-introduction to the music world.

Produced by ILL MAESTRO, the 3:17sec song includes a variety of techniques showcasing Scholars talents in the R&B and Rap genre.

The 25-year-old Richmond, VA native attributes his love for music to his upbringing.

“I started singing in church when I was 8 but started recording when I was 14 when one of my friends and I produced our first mix-tape. When I was 16, I founded a dance song called “Strutta Walk.” The beat was from a MySpace that allowed me to use the song after a little competition. The only requirement was that I record the song on their website.

Together we made our own song, put it on YouTube, and it generated a little bit of a buzz! I even grabbed the attention of the producer, Teddy Bishop! He is a platinum producer for Latoya Luckett’s song “Torn.”  After speaking to Teddy, I became serious about music and my parents even believed in my dreams! “
