Charles Jenkins has seen the light and with the release of his new album, Think About These Things, he has created a perfect medium to pass along his gift to others as well. Jenkins—the Senior Pastor and Founder of Fellowship Chicago—is a natural born leader and an excellent communicator, which paves the way for his seemingly effortless creation of uplifting music. The current Chicago resident began the rollout of Think About These Things with the positive, spirit-filled single “Winning” and things have taken off from there. The lively effort came with production from Grammy Award winning producer Warren Campbell, who has produced for the likes of Kanye West, R. Kelly, and Snoop Dogg.

Today, with his soul embedded in his work, Charles hopes to find the success with the release of his new LP, just like he has had with previous with singles “Awesome” and “#WAR,” as both reached #1 on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart. Think About These Things comes with 10 cup-filling tracks that will leave you feeling better than you were upon pressing play and you can purchase the project in its entirety here via iTunes or stream below via Spotify.

International basketball player Charles Jenkins has a story to tell.

Scoop B Radio and DJ Manny recapped Jenkins’ chat with myself in SLAM Magazine right before the 2011 NBA Draft. A Queens, NY native, he graduated from Hofstra University as the school’s all-time leading scorer.  He discussed his strengths and weaknesses, being mentioned in the ranks of Hofstra Pride Alum Speedy Claxton and much more.

Currently a star guard at Crvena zvezda of the Basketball League of Serbia,  Jenkins was the 44th pick by the  in the 2011 NBA Draft.

Originally from St. Petersburg, FL and currently residing in Chicago, Charles Jenkins partners up with Grammy Award winning producer, Warren Campbell (Kanye West, R. Kelly, Snoop Dogg) for his newest offering, “Winning“.  Backed by a summer appropriate visual, conveying warm vibes, the inspiring single takes on new life.

“I wanted to lift people up with a different sound and spread some #positiveair on the the radio airwaves and social media,” says Jenkins who is pastor of Fellowship Chicago, a historic church in Chicago, IL. “There’s so much bad news, pain, negativity, violence and hopelessness in the world right now that we just wanted to send out some encouragement and remind everyone that they can win and be upbeat in this thing called life.”

Charles Jenkins bursted on the international music scene in 2012, when his debut mega-hit with Fellowship Chicago, “Awesome,” reached the  #1 spot on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart and stayed there for 22 weeks. In 2014, he followed up with the smash “#WAR” that also hit #1 on the Gospel Airplay chart and was cited as the most played and most streamed gospel song of 2015 on Billboard’s end-of-the-year chart.
