Continuing to promote his upcoming independent album and his gutsy 2M1 movement, Sex, Drugs & Video Games, David Banner has released another video.  Taped on the streets of Brooklyn by directors Shomi Patwary and Corey Smyth, and featuring a chopped and screwed sample of the Beastie Boys’ “Brass Monkey,” the video honors the legendary borough both visually and aurally. As a plus, the video also features some humorous animations.

As David Banner indicated in his exclusive interview with RESPECT., he is very concerned with proving that urban music culture is still alive and viable. Considering that Brooklyn is one of the places where hip-hop has flourished, it is wholly
appropriate that he elected to go to BK to make the video happen. Check it out.

Though the album is free, Banner is asking for fans to support his 2M1 movement by donating at least $1. The Mississippi native will show the world that urban music is still valuable. This movement is to start controlling our own music, movies and content.

As David Banner states “We are not simply characters in a video game being controlled by the invisible hand. Once this donation goal is met, I’m going to shoot a movie that will drop 5.22.2013 and a portion of the donations are also going to charity.” You can pledge below the audio clip.
