Perhaps Childish Gambino’s absence from his own video was all part of the plan, or maybe he had a booked schedule between his tour and TV show. Anyways, the rapper manages to fit in a full Kyle XY-esque story into the brief clip which features a Gambino lookalike. The track is the second single off of his debut album Camp.

Backseat make-out sessions aren’t cool if the last thing you ate were Hot Cheetos. I don’t care what kinda Benz you drive.

New visuals from the mastermind Childish Gambino have arrived at our doorsteps. “Heartbeat” comes off of his debut album, Camp. This is one of the better-produced tracks off the album, especially once that deep bass hits around that 0:48 mark. I guess he’s had a lot of time to come up with this, as his NBC show Community has been on hiatus for a couple of months now. After you watch the video below, you should check out his plea to help get the show back on air.

HYPED. Donald Glover drops the video to the first single off his highly anticipated followup project to last years EP. The “Bonfire” video is cleverly done, nicely shot, and well acted (I mean the guy is an actor). Now on to Brooklyn Bowl for his album release party tonight!

Childish Gambino to perform Camp on Halloween

Childish Gambino (Donald Glover of NBC’s Community for all you non-blog fiends) will be performing his upcoming album Camp in its entirety… in NYC… on Halloween… (score!). This dude can spit guys; not only is he incredibly clever, his delivery is fierce. I mean he is also a writer for 30 Rock, is a standup comedian, and actor. This should be a good night for those who are lucky enough to get tickets, and fellas, we know Donald loves the ladies… and it will be Halloween… SPOOOOKYYY (Jim Jones Voice). Maybe someone will go dressed as Troy from Community, that would be incredibly clever. Hit the jump for more.
