Having always been a go-getter, Wells was generous enough to drop another banger at the right time — he definitely known for his precision and timing when it comes to dropping music. With another record under Wells’ belt, this is sure to be the Summer anthem.

If there’s anything to take away from C Wells, it’s this: there’s no exact explanation on how to turn nothing into something. You find you’re own lane and you stay in it.

After dropping his previous project Before The Tour Bus, C Wells has been dormant collecting his thoughts. The New England native has been maneuvering differently in anticipation for the release of his next project Dear Summer 2. Taking it back to when rappers used to make whole mixtapes that were strictly remix-based, Wells sets the tone speaking live and direct to his listeners. Known for his lyricism and cold razor sharp metaphors, Wells has been able to create his own category where he stands alone, rather being compared to the next artist. It seems as if Wells has tunnel vision where he only makes lucrative moves; nothing in this world is free and neither should be his music.

After performing at A3C Festival in Atlanta, GA, Wells has been working harder than ever, looking forward to expanding his reach in the industry. The nine-track tape includes “Magnolia” and “Gummo” remixes, where Wells flexes on both records and solidifies his spot in the North Shore as one of the most prolific artists. It’s clear that, with remixes, it’s nothing more than mere food for him where he’s using the instrumental as dental floss. This being the last of his remix-based mixtapes, Wells wanted to not only put other artists on notice but also make it known that as soon as you let your foot off the gas, he’ll be right behind you to take your place.

Coming from New England (where voices are rarely heard or given a chance), there are those who rise against all odds. Based out of Lynn, MA — more commonly known as “Lynn the city of sin” — rising star C Wells is known for his versatility, lyricism and wordplay that most artists in the North Shore area lack. Prepping for the release of his second mixtape Before The Tour Bus (set to drop on April 20th), Wells gives his listeners a peak into the tape with a music video for “For The Paper,” which features G Herbo (above).

The 10-track release is hosted by Don Cannon and includes an additional feature from Harlem’s finest Dave East, along with production by K Swisha, DreYouAHitmaker, Wheezy Beats, DumDrumz, Maaly Raw, C-Sick, Ayy Dot and Sonaro. C Wells calls on Lil Herb to document the lengths they’ll go “For The Paper.” The MA rhymer continues to build his catalogue and with the John Rawlins Directed “For The Paper,” Wells’ campaign only grows stronger and that much more valid. The simplicity of the track’s content allows for a low-key, visual testimony of the never-ending paper chase, a good studio vibe, and the collaborative process alike. Herb’s gritty narrative blends perfectly with Wells’ crafty flow clocking “For The Paper” as a track and video worth taking notice of.
