I love how everyone’s breaking out the Dancehall/Bashment vibes for the warmest season of the year. Case-in-point: UK artist Mahalia has a new single titled “Simmer,” which features the stylings of Nigerian-British star Burna Boy and takes from Beenie Man‘s 90’s smash “Who Am I.”

Check out the lyric visual below, along with a clip of her performing “I Wish I Missed My Ex” at Glastonbury. Love and Compromise arrives this Fall (September 6th).

The above message — a perfect way to paint the picture — is how the new visual starts for Dave and Burna Boy‘s collaboration “Location,” which was co-directed by Kaylum Dennis and is taken from Dave’s chart-topping album Psychodrama. Burna Boy Drops New Video for “Dangote”

Nigerian-to-UK star Burna Boy is back with a new visual for his recently-released single “Dangote,” a somewhat Jazz-y, melodic number named after the richest man in Africa. The clip begins by touching — and continues to hit — on the hard-working narrative (including the fact that Aliko Dangote still goes to work every morning), adding that Nigeria’s unemployment rate is almost a quarter of the population. Definitely one of the realest clips I’ve seen this year.

Burna Boy Teams Up with Lily Allen for “Heaven’s Gate” Visual

Nigerian-British star Burna Boy probably has another hit (or a pair of hits, rather) to add to his list of chart-toppers. This weekend sees him liberating a dope new video for “Heaven’s Gate,” which mixes a Pop vibe with a Dancehall blend and features Lily Allen. Added to “Heaven’s Gate” are extra visuals for another single titled “Sekkle Down,” which features J Hus.
