Despite his absence from recording, his music still remain a staple within reggae and dancehall music and some may say his demand across the world is bigger than ever before.

A$AP Rocky recently named him “one of my favorite reggae rappers,” while DJ Khaled stated “I love Buju so much. His music is like praying.” As this mark a milestone for Buju Banton, being his 45th birthday, for his fans and family this will be his last birthday he spend incarcerated. With a December 8th 2018 release date, the anticipation is high and persons are preparing to be apart of any show headlining Buju Banton.

In recent conversation with a US based media outlet BoomShots, Buju had a message for his fans “Give a shout out to the fans for me. Tell them I send my love and I tell them: Do not be distracted by all the things that are taking place around them because it is designed to throw them off kilter and plunge people into a state of darkness…The people are suffering. Sadness and gloom is prevailing. Its widespread. But be patient. Because suffering may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
