The visual demonstration includes a day of drinking together – which we know can lead to just about anything in the rotten apple as you will see in a moment.

The duo’s full length offering will be available in 2016 as The Fuel is just a sample of its magnitude.

“The Fuel is the pre-cursor/set up for Flight, which drops summer of next year. The vibes are similar, but Flight is like a big brother to The Fuel. That statement will make a lot of sense a year from today — you’ll see. But, in the time being, enjoy The Fuel and please listen to the entire thing knowing that something way bigger and way better is coming in a short 6-8 months.” -J57

For those who’ve been following Brown Bag AllStars since the Fat Beats days you should have a clear understanding that these cats work their asses off. Audible Doctor (having produced for the likes of 50 Cent, John Legend, Sadat X, Onyx, Astro and more) is predominately known for his carefully crafted, soulful production. We’ve heard him step away from the hardware in the past and bless the mic, but since the 2014 release of Can’t Keep The People Waiting there has been a wave of new fans supporting him as a consistent lyricist. Is Audible Doctor equally as successful on the mic as he is on the boards? You can draw your own opinions. In a recent sit down with RESPECT. Magazine‘s Dread Solo he stated:

“I’ve been rapping for longer than I’ve been producing but my production has kind of always overshadowed my rapping. In the last 2-3 years I’ve put an emphasis on releasing more solo material where I’m rapping and really focused on getting my bars up so I think lyrically I’m in a good place at the moment. I’m never going to stop producing but I’m definitely going to be focusing on the rapping aspect more moving forward.”

Can’t Keep The People Waiting made multiple headlines and nudged its way into a handful of notable media figures’ “top of 2014” lists. With that being said – if you missed the release you should probably catch up and have this in your collection now. The physical/vinyl releases are now available as well. J57 dropped off his latest record “Soarin’ Like Jordan” featuring Audible Doctor and Archie Bang. For those who’ve been residing under a rock, J57 hails from the acclaimed underground collective Brown Bag Allstars as well as Audible Doctor. Both are predominately known for their production over the years, but they never half step or come up short on the mic. Revisit J57’s “Wax Aesthetic“ for your reassurance, and Audible Doctor’s “Can’t Keep The People Waiting.“

The two Brown Bag veterans brought along Brooklyn’s promising Archie Bang to blow off some steam, opening up the record with some heavy content. Don’t let the playful title fool you here; the three guns mean business and deliver brutal honesty over J57’s stern, sample-free soundscape. Yeah, we said sample-free. Those projects really left an impression on fans and gave them a taste of what he is capable of with his solo career as well. You could say on this remix of “Drop The Game” Koncept is exploring his own solo sound along side Flume and Chet Faker.

In a recent verbal exchange with RESPECT. Mag‘s Dread Solo, Koncept mentions “..I strive to grow as both a person and an artist every day. I’m inspired by all different kinds of music, and I wanted to show people a different style of mine before stepping into all the new releases as Koncept & J57..”

TeamBackPack are back at it again with another region-blending cypher with their “LAX to JFK” series. This time around they bring together MC’s Obvi (Rohnert Park, Cali.), Koncept (Brooklyn/Queens, NY), and Peoples (Bay Area, Cali.). The three rapped over the J57 produced instrumental, brother to Koncept as they both rep the Brown Bag Allstars camp. All three MC’s went off in their own unique way, and Peoples definitely finished off the entire clip the right way. Make sure to check TBP’s website here for more cyphers in the future as well.

I could ramble for hours about J57, but for the sake of keeping this short and letting the record speak for itself I will not do so. He’s stomping from the well known, acclaimed [Brown Bag AllStars] crew alongside Audible Doctor, DeeJay Element, DJ E-Holla, Koncept and Soul Khan. For those of you who already follow him you can agree that we mainly know him for his production on records. His production alone is enough to carry him for years, but the bar has been raised and J57 decided to let loose in the rhyming department. This was a shocker to us fans but the results are pretty stellar, as the Ep gained amazing responses.

This is the first visual from J57’s acclaimed ‘Wax Aesthetic‘ Ep (with features from Co$$, Johaz, Choosey / production from Exile and much more) – released in 2014. It is available for free download here. You should probably set aside one minute and add this to your collection if you know what’s best for you.
