Vick’s infectious production provides a slow and steady bounce, accompanied by thumping drums and high synths which sets a great landscape for illustrating LBB’s writing acuity. “Break It Up” is a flexing piece; an auditory blessing which lands LULBIGBROTHER dead in the middle of enigmatic artist, braggadocios rapper, and eccentric songwriter. Bars like “Big Bruh getting’ big change/Just wanna stack it up and maintain/While we livin’ life like the last days” and “ I do not Nae Nae, I do not Whip/I just roll up the Backwood/get to chopping and sh*t” show LBB’s ability to create actually mood on record, not just another dull and forgettable rap. Most importantly, “Break It Up” incorporates elements of the nation’s capital (Stadium, moe, half and half, to name a few) that are specific to the region, giving the District Of Columbia a distinct platform to share it’s ideology, slang, and distinction with the rest of the Hip-Hop world. Acting as his first single from “2009,” (set to drop in October) “Break It Up” acts as proof that LULBIGBROTHER is up to some very big things. “Break it up, Break it up, Break it up.”
