The Crack Down On Frank Ocean’s ‘Boy’s Don’t Cry’ Album

If you’ve been patiently waiting for Frank Ocean‘s album to drop for the last two years and still bumping “Super Rich Kids” in 2015 or even “Whip Appeal” from 2013, it’s okay because you’re not alone. As we all know, back in April Frank informed the world through Tumblr that he was dropping his album Boys Don’t Cry in July. As you can see, this month is quickly coming to an end considering that there’s only 10 days left until August hits us. Just a couple hours ago, much speculation surrounded the highly anticipated release of the album amongst Twitter putting out the date of July 23rd but like I said that’s only speculations. Unfortunately the last thing we want to do is get our hopes up on an unconfirmed date and when it comes to Frank,we simply just want the facts. Because Frank has been in hiding since ever, majority of America is highly hoping for a fire album and nothing less. Hopefully it’s still safe to take Frank’s word for the album of being released this month but time is ticking and “we all gotta believe in something”. Some of us are still replaying the Nostalgia, Ultra tape and Channel Orange at least twice a week just to get us through so please hurry Frank, you got us bumping oldies off our cellular phones.

“Boys Don’t Cry” — But I Do: Twitter Reacts to Frank Ocean’s Unreleased Album

It’s been three years since Frank Ocean dropped his nostalgic debut album Channel Orange, causing many to wonder if the 27-year-old will ever craft another soul-searching masterpiece. The anticipation of another melancholy project from Ocean met its demise after he announced on his official Tumblr page that the release date for his new album, Boys Don’t Cry, would be July 20.

One the night of the album’s release date, fans took to Twitter and anxiously waited for one of the most anticipated projects of the year. When the album failed to make an appearance, fans weren’t having it.

From tweets to memes, many humorously expressed the death of the hopes they had towards the release the album. Because the album failed to debut, the heighten confusion led fans to ask, “what happened,” and “will the album be released?”

Although Boys Don’t Cry did not drop on the anticipated day, there is still a possibility that it will be released this year.

Frank Ocean to Headline FYF Fest

FYF Fest has just announced the lineup for its 12th festival. Frank Ocean will be headlining the Los Angeles based music festival. The Odd Future crooner will be performing hits off of his previous projects and tracks from his upcoming album, “Boys Don’t Cry,” which is set to release in July. This awesome lineup also includes Solange, Run The Jewels, D’Angelo and The Vanguard, BadBadNotGood, and many more. FYF Fest takes place August 22nd and 23rd at The LA Sports Arena & Exposition Park. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (5.8) at noon.

Frank Ocean Joins James Blake On Mini U.K. Tour

In case you missed it, Frank Ocean had fans in a frenzy earlier this week after announcing via Tumblr that he indeed has a new album in the works. Boys Don’t Cry is slated to hit stores as well as iTunes this July.

In the spirit of surprises, singer-songwriter James Blake had even more of a treat for Frank’s U.K. fans after he revealed that the “Pyramids” singer would be joining him on tour this weekend.

The weekend shows kicked off Thursday night in Bristol and will continue on tonight in Manchester and then wrap up on Sunday, April 12 in London. Hopefully, Frank’s brief touring stint prepares him for a U.S. tour in the near future.
