Oops, he’s done it again.

Nigel Farage, the leader of the United Kingdom Independent Party, has stepped down after (almost) single-handedly twisting the arms of British voters into leaving the European Union. On June 23rd, more than 30 million people voted in the UK referendum on whether to “leave” or “remain” in the EU. With 52% of voters casting their vote for “leave,” the UK was left in a hangover of political and financial uncertainty.

CNN reported Farage stating that, “During the referendum campaign I said I want my country back. What I’m saying today is I want my life back.”

Farage devoted his career to breaking ties with the EU. Now that he got his wish, he won’t be sticking around to deal with the consequences.

The morning of the referendum results, Farage was already in the firing line for falsely having pledged 35 million pounds to Britain’s National Health Service if “leave” won. As could be expected, Farage claimed his promise had been a mistake.

With British Prime Minister David Cameron resigning, Prime Minister potential Boris Johnson deciding not to run, and Nigel Farage running for the hills, it looks like someone else is going to have to clean up this mess — along with the growing political graveyard.

The Independent reported that Farage admitted he “doesn’t listen to music, watch TV or read.” RESPECT. and its readers can only imagine what Farage will be doing with his free time now. Perhaps he will be found lounging at Donald Trump‘s Scottish golf course.
