<p>There are enough people in the world who think <strong>Nas </strong>is the best rapper alive that they could form an army and put him in place as president of Columbia. But the man clearly lacked flash. That didn&#8217;t matter too much in the &#8217;90s, but these days, a rapper&#8217;s got to be a brand, a business, man. Here are the 15 most fun, strange, electrifying, iconic ad-libs of hip-hop today.</p>
<p><strong>15. Both of Danny Brown&#8217;s Adlibs<br />
</strong></p>
<p><a href="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/danny-brown-2.jpg"><img decoding="async" data-attachment-id="68787" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/10/the-15-best-adlibs-in-the-game/danny-brown-2-2/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/danny-brown-2.jpg?fit=640%2C425&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="640,425" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;4.5&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;NIKON D300&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;1338122305&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;110&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;320&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0.0025&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="danny brown" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/danny-brown-2.jpg?fit=640%2C425&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/danny-brown-2.jpg?fit=640%2C425&amp;ssl=1" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-68787" alt="danny brown" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/danny-brown-2.jpg?resize=640%2C425" width="640" height="425" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a><strong></strong></p>
<p>What is he saying? &#8220;Stop&#8221; or &#8220;style&#8221;? &#8220;Check&#8221; or &#8220;Church&#8221;? We know the answers, but it doesn&#8217;t really matter: at least we know <strong></strong>The Hybrid&#8217;s on the track, and he&#8217;s about to warp your brain. Occasionally though, <strong>Danny</strong>&#8216;s signature shouts can get kind of annoying.</p>

<p><strong>14. Big Sean&#8217;s &#8220;Swerve&#8221;</strong></p>
<p><a href="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Big-Sean-On-Tour-Pt.-1.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="68788" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/10/the-15-best-adlibs-in-the-game/big-sean-on-tour-pt-1/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Big-Sean-On-Tour-Pt.-1.jpg?fit=700%2C438&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="700,438" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="big sean" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Big-Sean-On-Tour-Pt.-1.jpg?fit=700%2C438&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Big-Sean-On-Tour-Pt.-1.jpg?fit=640%2C400&amp;ssl=1" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-68788" alt="big sean" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Big-Sean-On-Tour-Pt.-1-640x400.jpg?resize=640%2C400" width="640" height="400" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a><br />
This one hasn&#8217;t shown up in a while, but it was the biggest fad to come out of one of 2012&#8217;s biggest songs, and that says something. The cool command in <strong>Sean</strong>&#8216;s voice was just what the menacing &#8220;Mercy&#8221; needed. Also, it&#8217;s the perfect antidote to his unbearably corny &#8220;Oh God!&#8221; that we see so much of.</p>

<p><strong>13. Joell Ortiz&#8217;s &#8220;YOAWA&#8221;</strong></p>
<p><a href="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/joell-ortiz-storefront.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="68791" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/10/the-15-best-adlibs-in-the-game/joell-ortiz-storefront/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/joell-ortiz-storefront.jpg?fit=639%2C426&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="639,426" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;4.5&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;Canon EOS 350D DIGITAL&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;1214335964&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;18&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;800&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0.00125&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="joell ortiz" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/joell-ortiz-storefront.jpg?fit=639%2C426&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/joell-ortiz-storefront.jpg?fit=639%2C426&amp;ssl=1" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-68791" alt="joell ortiz" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/joell-ortiz-storefront.jpg?resize=639%2C426" width="639" height="426" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a><strong>Joell</strong> has explained &#8220;YAOWA&#8221; as having tons of meanings, ranging from &#8220;Yo, whatup,&#8221; pronounced by someone who&#8217;s faded, to &#8220;You&#8217;re Actually One World Away,&#8221; a taunt to other rappers. <strong></strong>The chunkiest quarter of the <strong>Slaughterhouse</strong> sounds pretty alien when he <strong></strong>drops his ad-lib, so the meanings are fitting.<strong><br />
</strong></p>

Credit to <strong>TDE</strong>&#8216;s in-house guys for always mixing it the same eerie way.</p>

Hats off to <strong>Sean P</strong> for slapping the mic around and making sure the gimmicks began and ended with this signature move.</p>

<p><strong>10. Jadakiss&#8217; Laugh</strong></p>

Go figure. No matter the mood of the track, <strong>Jada</strong>&#8216;s always got something to squawk about.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/0-cpL--0AQA" height="315" width="420" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0"></iframe></p>
<p><strong>9. Chief Keef</strong><strong>&#8216;s &#8220;Bang Bang</strong><strong>&#8220;</strong></p>
<p><a href="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Chief-Keef.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="46995" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/chief-keef/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Chief-Keef.jpg?fit=500%2C500&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="500,500" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="Chief Keef" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Chief-Keef.jpg?fit=500%2C500&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Chief-Keef.jpg?fit=500%2C500&amp;ssl=1" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-46995" alt="Chief Keef" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Chief-Keef.jpg?resize=500%2C500" width="500" height="500" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a><strong></strong><strong>Keef</strong> has a tendency to deliver some of the most vile lines in the most zombified tone, so, accordingly, his ad-lib is him whispering the sound of a gunshot. Crazy catchy, though.<br />
<strong></strong></p>

<p><strong>8. A$AP Rocky&#8217;s </strong></p>

It&#8217;s only fitting that <strong>Kanye</strong> has an ad-lib as obnoxious as his personality. <strong>&#8216;Ye</strong>&#8216;s &#8220;Haanh&#8221; is a self-congratulatory chest-thump for the ages.</p>

<p>The fact that <strong>2 Chainz</strong> is one of the most ridiculous exaggerators in the genre makes his ad-lib &#8220;Tru&#8221; all the more hilarious. Also, the clear glee in his voice when he shouts his name (wouldn&#8217;t you be glad to be anything but Tity Boi?) makes <strong>2 Chainz</strong> Pokemon-inspired ad-lib a tru gift.</p>

It&#8217;s a little funny and a little threatening. You never know what you&#8217;re getting.</p>

It&#8217;s just big. Big as hell.</p>
<p><strong>3. Chance The Rapper&#8217;s</strong> <strong>&#8220;Igh!&#8221;</strong></p>
<p><a href="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/chance-the-rapper.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="63247" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/06/new-video-chance-the-rapper-360-freestyle-on-rapfix-live/chance-the-rapper-2/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/chance-the-rapper.jpg?fit=500%2C500&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="500,500" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="chance-the-rapper black and white biting lip" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/chance-the-rapper.jpg?fit=500%2C500&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/chance-the-rapper.jpg?fit=500%2C500&amp;ssl=1" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-63247" alt="chance-the-rapper black and white biting lip" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/chance-the-rapper.jpg?resize=500%2C500" width="500" height="500" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a>Fun, exciting, strange&#8211;the ad-lib can speak for the man himself, on a surface level. It&#8217;s almost impossible to make this noise the way <strong>Chance</strong> does for seemingly anyone but <strong>Chance </strong>himself. Now there&#8217;s a way to make sure that your signature remains yours.</p>

And he doesn&#8217;t overuse it either.</p>
