Koncept has been an underground staple for years now and a reliable member of the promising Brown Bag AllStars clique. Anyone who follows him or the AllStars can note, and agree, that Awaken and the Malt Disney Ep with J57 are go-to’s. Those projects really left an impression on fans and gave them a taste of what he is capable of with his solo career as well. You could say on this remix of “Drop The Game” Koncept is exploring his own solo sound along side Flume and Chet Faker.

In a recent verbal exchange with RESPECT. Mag‘s Dread Solo, Koncept mentions “..I strive to grow as both a person and an artist every day. I’m inspired by all different kinds of music, and I wanted to show people a different style of mine before stepping into all the new releases as Koncept & J57..”

New Music: Koncept Ft. Flume & Chet Faker – “Drop The Game” (Remix)

Koncept has been an underground staple for years now and a reliable member of the promising Brown Bag AllStars clique. Those projects really left an impression on fans and gave them a taste of what he is capable of with his solo career as well. You culd say on this remix of “Drop The Game” Koncept is exploring his own solo sound along side Flume and Chet Faker.

Moving forward, you can expect a lot of new work from Koncept & J57, as they recently introduced Kon57 Records to the masses. The anticipated “Jump“ (ft. Akie Bermiss) will be the first single from the two masterminds, followed by The Fuel Ep saga this coming spring. Also note they have some work coming your way with a little help from Red Bull. We don’t want to spoil too much of the good news for you real hip-hop junkies, so stay tuned. Sit back and enjoy this four minute remixed journey.

EP Download: J57 – Wax Aesthetic

J57‘s free EP, Wax Aesthetic, has arrived. While we’re used to hearing J57 behind the boards, for Wax Aesthetic he’s mostly behind the mic, showcasing his rhymes and his flows. We already got a taste of his rapping ability when we premiered the EP’s first track, “Been a Long Time,” a few weeks ago, but the EP offers the entire meal. Clocking in at a little under 20 minutes, the EP is a bit brief, but it’s a dynamic ride throughout, featuring guest appearances from ATR, 777, Denmark Vessey, Tenacity, Mike Maven, Akie Bermiss, Co$$, Johaz, Choosey and more, as well as solid production from Exile, Deejay Element and of course, J57 himself.
