Barry Bondz EP ‘Road To The Riches’

The 5 track EP, “Road To The Riches” has guest contributors to the project like Vybe Beatz who has created hits for Meek Mill, Zoey Dollaz, Nipsey Hussle, Young Thug and the like.  Beatz crafted a masterpiece on the EP’s intro with the song “Lake Of Fire.”

Bondz stated, “we’re entering the ears of the office cubicles with working professionals, we’re entering NBA and NFL arenas, we’re shutting the clubs down and we’re hitting the earbuds for the hard working ladies in the gym. This is instantly a classic project!”

Bondz’s latest installment also houses the catchy track, Cobra which includes a guest feature from Lil Reek out of Atlanta.

Platinum producer, Cash Money AP also blessed the EP on four of the five tracks: “Kickin Up,” “Cobra,” “Smoke Session” and “Goin’ Crazy.” 

The EP was mixed and mastered by By Alkatraxx at Alkatraxx Studio in Elizabeth, NJ and the cover photo was created by Carlos Diaz for Killa Konceptz Inc.

“This is what we’ve been preparing for all summer,” said Bondz.

As previously noted, Bondz’s Genco Media LLC brand signed a distribution deal with Foundation Media, a label services and distribution company, this fall. This move certainly helps to establish the business side of the game for Bondz who learned those details from those before him.

Recently, on The Alternative with Melvin Taylor ii Radio Show, Bondz was able to discuss just that stating “that’s the game behind the scenes. You gotta really come in and break it on your own or else they’ll try and get you to follow somebody.”

With 2018 having been a big year already, Bondz kept the same energy by expanding on his entrepreneurial endeavors in becoming a brand ambassador for Black Widow World, a fine art, creative studio, and apparel company created by Carlos Diaz, and simultaneously being named a brand ambassador to Starter Apparel Brand.

Starter is owned and operated by two-time Super Bowl Champion and New York Giants legend, Carl Banks. Other notables who are brand ambassadors to Starter include Cleveland Cavaliers forward, Kevin Love, mega-producer, Amadeus and award-winning journalist, Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson.

When asked if he had any more to add with his project Bondz simply stated, “it’s game time.”

For those tardy to the party, Barry Bondz is a Newark, New Jersey lyricist and songwriter who has quietly been progressing over the last few years.

Having worked extensively with Busta Rhymes, Jim Jones, DJ Premier and Joe Budden, Barry Bondz has been featured on CBS Sports Radio, VIBE, The Source, HIPHOPWEEKLY, Thisis50 and RESPECT Magazine.
His journey is inspirational as an independent artist, with credits that include an appearance on the soundtrack of Sundance’s American drama Brick City, a documentary produced by Marc Levin, Academy Award-winning actor and filmmaker Forest Whitaker, Evan Shapiro, and Sarah Barnett.
Bondz also got the nod as a lyricist on the highly coveted BET Hip-Hop Cypher and walked on the runway at New York Fashion Week.
Musically, Bondz has put out lyrical heat, dropping his debut EP, Glory in 2014, which got rave reviews in The Source Magazine. Bondz followed that up with his sophomore EP, The Genco in 2015, Psalm 27 in 2016 and C4 and The Genco II in 2017.

Barry Bondz is at it again. This time the lyricist has added flavor to the pot with his new visual to his song, ‘Check Down.’

If you’re tardy to the party, in football, a checkdown pass is when the quarterback attempts to complete a short, accurate pass to a running back or tight end as a last option when the wide receivers are covered.

Barry Bondz is at it with his new EP, titled C4. The EP picks up from his classic, “The Comeback” mixtape series. Bondz’s Comeback series ended at 3. However, after much demand, Bondz decided to bring back the series. Only this time, instead of naming his new project “The Comeback 4,” the lyricist changed the title to C4.

Going independent can sometimes be a both fun and frustrating for rap artists. Newark, New Jersey lyricist Barry Bondz chatted with me about it in the latest installment of Scoop B Radio Overtime.

There’s a stalemate. Labels are spending less money AND artists want to be  in total control of their brand.

“It’s a lot of hard work,” Barry Bondz told me on Scoop B Radio Overtime. “And you can’t get discouraged you got to focus on you and what you and your team is doing.”

Here’s what else, Bondz had to say had to folks who are considering that route but are kind of still on the fence.

“You can’t really worry about what everybody else has going on. It’s really what you have going on. You know, the industry is different. It’s a lot of machines behind everything it’s a big facade. My main thing I would tell people is just worry about what you’re doing and be consistent, that’s the most important thing, consistency you’ll eventually knock down the wall.”

Barry Bondz has knocked 2016 out of the park and he didn’t have to play for the San Francisco Giants like the baseball legend whom he shares the same name phonetically.

Appearing at New York Fashion Week with Volare Clothing this past fall, being featured on a top rated CBS Radio platform at the beginning of the year and appearing in VIBE Magazine for his latest project, he’s blessed. These are all perks for a man that has genuinely been grinding in the rap game fortwenty years. Many began recognizing him when he appeared on a BET rap battle cypher and he’s blossomed from there.

With 2017 around the corner, it’s no time to rest on laurels. He’ll be dropping his EP, The Genco 2 at the end of the first quarter of 2017. “Man I can’t wait for the New Year I am hungry,” said Bondz.

“It is go time! No rest for the weary.”

Hailing  from Newark, NJ,  Barry Bondz’s latest video, “High,” isn’t talking about mary jane! In fact, it has a strong message. It encourages the working man to get their money, cleanly and to stay motivated in doing so. It’s gotten a ton of views on YouTube, and it may even be an inspiration for today’s indie rapper looking to take things to next level for 2017.
