In honor of the 20th anniversary of the death of The Notorious B.I.G., the Brooklyn Nets held “Biggie Night” throughout their Sunday game on March 12.

The game was held at the Barclay Center with the Nets playing against the New York Knicks. There were several notable guests in attendance, including Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, who in addition to speaking at her son’s commemoration, was also attending her very first basketball game. She shared a few words about her son prior to the tip-off, thanking the Center and the guests and quoting her son: “Brooklyn, we did it”. The footage of this scene can be found below. Also in attendance were Diddy, Lil‘ Kim, Faith Evans, and others of the Wallace family.
