Joey Bada$$ is gearing up for the January 20th release of his debut album B4.DA.$$, and he brings his West Indian roots to his latest single “Curry Chicken”. Produced by Statik Selektah, this track has New York written all over it. Like most Joey Bada$$ tracks, the feeling of old school hip-hop exudes from his music effortlessly and this is no different. 2015 is already looking up for Joey Bada$$ fans with his debut album, B4.DA.$$, slated for a January 20th release. The album announcement came in the form of a trailer with some footage of Bada$$ and Pro Era collective member Powers Pleasant on skate boards (a throwback to the cover of his debut mixtape 1999), along with some cool aerial shots of Brooklyn. Originally expected in the fall of 2014, B4.DA.$$’s release will now coincide with the rapper’s 20th birthday. With tons of mixtape hype over the last few years, and the album’s singles “Christ Conscious” and “BIG DUSTY” already available, the timing couldn’t be better. Check out the trailer below, and get pysched for a very badass 2015 with the Pro Era crew.
