In Flatiron, Foxgrove’s exclusive vibe is anything but. The music school welcomes beginners and hosts them right next to a professional studio. Azealia Banks’ album Slay Z was just produced in its midst.

The community of professionals and curious newcomers makes for an electric environment. The school was established in October 2015, riding the high of the electronic music scene.

There are two kinds of classes that you can choose from: Electronic music production and DJing. The school wants you to walk away with your own creation after each class. Get creative and start spinning.

After issuing a half apology on her now suspended Twitter account, rapper Azealia Banks finally released an apology statement for her racial slurs against singer, Zayn Malik and Disney Channel star, Skai Jackson.

Banks wrote:

“Dear World, Now that the immediacy of the infamous incident has worn off, I’ve had some time to decompress & take a more rational assessment of things. I want to extend my sincerest apologies to the world.”

“Employing racial/sexual slurs/stereotypes in attempts to make fun of or degrade another person or group is absolutely unacceptable and is not fair or fun for anyone,” she continued. “Allowing my anger to get the best of me, I’ve managed to insult millions of people without reason. And for that I give my deepest apologies.”

During her Twitter rant, which is now deleted, Banks called Malik a “hairy curry scented b***h” and a “f****t” after he appeared to subtweet her. She had previously suggested that the former One Direction star had stolen her visual style with his new video for “Like I Would.”
When Jackson chimed in and tweeted that Banks should “simmer down a little,” the rapper told the 14-year-old Disney Channel actress: “You need to grow some hips and start ur menses. Stay in a child’s place.”

Following her series of highly offensive tweets, during which she also took a dig at the U.K. grime scene, Banks has been dropped from the lineup of Rinse FM’s Born & Bred’s summer music festival in London.

Twitter has finally suspended Azealia Banks‘ account but this was way overdue. The artist snapped, once again, a day ago on Twitter and spent that time throwing racist slurs at ZAYN.

The encounter first began with Banks accusing ZAYN of taking the idea for his newest video, “Like I Would,” from Banks’ video for “Chasing Time.” ZAYN responded with some subliminal tweets and that’s when Banks’ went nuts. She started tossing racist slurs that would make you think she was a terrorist.

Twitter community wasn’t having it and according to Complex, Banks’ apologized to her Twitter followers but not to ZAYN. That didn’t go over well and she was dropped from the Born & Bred Festival in the UK.

Now, Twitter has decided to suspend her account and honestly, she deserves it.

Let’s see how long this suspension lasts. For the love of Twitter, we hope it lasts for a very, very, very long damn time.

Azealia Banks has recently been dropped from Rinse FM’s Born & Bred Festival line up for a series of racist tweets towards former One Direction member, Zayn Malik. The festival is set to take place on June 4th and 5th in London, England. However in a recent statement, Rinse FM said, “We have decided to cancel Azealia Banks’ headline appearance at Rinse Born & Bred. Rinse Born & Bred is a celebration of rave culture and has been created for EVERYONE. We celebrate inclusivity and equality.”

Azealia Banks is quickly becoming known for her ugly, and malicious Twitter behavior and unfortunately, this is by far the worst. Early yesterday morning, Banks proceeded to call out the former 1D member through Instagram on possibly copying imagery from Banks’ “Yung Rapunxel” video in his new “Like I Would” visual. After Malik sent out a tweet of his own, seemingly acknowledging the shade, Banks then dove into a series of racist tweets that would make Mel Gibson blush. Among the racial slurs used were “b****h ni**a,” “hairy curry scented b****h,” “FA***T”, “Punjab,” “sand ni**er,” a tweet regarding his mother as “a dirty refugee who won’t be granted asylum” and it sadly didn’t stop there.

During this long and bigoted tirade, Disney star Skai Jackson commented on her own Twitter account “Azealia Banks needs to simmer down a little.” This was all Azealia Banks’ needed in order to start directing her hateful words at a young 14yr old actor and her mother. Without hesitation Banks sent out a tweet regarding the young girls hips (or lack there of), followed by a tweet regarding Skai Jacksons mother “pimping” her out as a young girl to the Disney corporation.

Earlier today, Azaelia Banks took to her Twitter account to apologize for her comments in a way only she could. Instead of apologizing for the truly racist, hurtful and hate filled comments directed at Zayn Malik and Skai Jackson, she apologized for the way people feel about them. She also made it clear she was not apologizing to who she directed her tweets at, just to the offended bystanders of Twitter. While this entire occurrence is disheartening, racist and vicious, on Banks part. This is actually not all that surprising considering only a week before, Banks notified her followers on Twitter of her enthusiastic support for Donald Trump. While its only a matter of time before Banks launches another shocking twitter rant, this will hopefully bring to question the boundaries one should exercise when using social media to air-out personal opinions or feelings. Banks’ tweets have since been deleted however, thanks to this thing called the internet, you can peep them below.

Azealia Banks has a lot of ambiguity to her persona. Her high level of thinking speaks such high volumes to pop culture that it causes a widespread uproar in a community filled with many different people. It has come to the conclusion that many people in both the music industry and modern-day culture try to understand her but have failed miserably. Why are you saying these things, nobody will like you!? She’s such a flop! She’ll never get anywhere with that attitude! Ok, but according to Billboard, Broke With Expensive Taste peaked at No. 2 for Rap Albums, No. 3 for R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and has sold 11,000 copies within one week of release.

Alongside BWET, 1991 EP peaked No. 17 in June 2012 (sold 35,000 copies) and her critically acclaimed single, “212” produced by Lazy Jay collected a global viewing on YouTube of more than 77 million. It is no doubt that her fiery attitude, clever clapbacks and venomous word choice may come across as arrogant and crude but her wide range of vocals, fresh cut beats, and rhythms speaks for itself. The juvenalian satire that she has is just the icing on the cake as to what makes her, her; she has always been a messy woman who lives for drama!

March 31st, 2016, a French minister who advocates for women’s rights took the time to discuss with French media to compare Muslim women who wear the veil to American “negroes” who accepted slavery (which by the way who in their right mind would come to “agreement” with a term that derives from years on top of years of abuse, molestation and torture). Connecting the French minister’s commentary to what’s currently going on in the presidential race in America, Azealia Banks heavily weighs in her opinion towards Sarah Palin, a 52 year old from Sandpoint, ID who is the wife of Todd Palin and mother to her children Bristol, Trig, Track, Piper and Willow Palin (what hat did she pull those names from).

At an anti-Iran rally held back on September 9th, 2015 in Washington, D.C., Sarah Palin gave a speech where she added in her own commentary which took shots at the activists within the Black Lives Matter movement calling them “dogs” and apparently stating that,”Since he [President Obama] hasn’t called off the dogs, we’ll say it: Police officers and first-responders all across this great land, we got your back! We salute you! Thank you, police officers!” Below are just some of the many comments on her racially driven speech.

In correlation with the speech Mrs. Palin gave back in September of 2015 to the personal opinionated, vulgar statement given to the media by the French minister it seems to me that in that time frame Azealia Banks was gathering her thoughts on what to say and has recently released them through mediums of Twitter and Tumblr. Even though some of her heated tweets got deleted I managed to get a hold of some.

Ouch…in response to this, Sarah Palin, according to multiple publications, has decided to sue rapper/lyricist, Azealia Banks over her obscene comments. Ms. Banks apologized. Kind of. Let’s see how this pans out.
