Playboi Carti‘s infectious single, “Magnolia” has finally received a video.

The video, which features an appearance from ASAP Rocky, showcases Carti walking thru the streets of New York with interesting effects and add-ons turning up. During an interview with Complex, Carti explained the connection with ASAP Rocky and why he appears in the video although he’s not featured on the song.

“I met Rocky at this house party and it was crazy,” Carti recalled. “He told me he fucked with me, bro, and after he said that I was like, I gotta get out here and get my swag up. It was lit. There were a bunch of bitches everywhere. It was life. The life I wanted was in the house, right there.”

Carti who appeared on two songs from ASAP Mob’s debut album, “London Town” and “Telephone Calls” helped shape his solo material.

In the interview, the Atlanta-bred artist also discussed how much his life has changed since his big break, recalling how before he used to skip school just to make music.

“When I look back at being young in Atlanta, before this music sh*t, I just laugh,” he says. “My ma couldn’t tell me shit. Nobody could tell me shit. I wasn’t going to college, I wasn’t going to the army, I wasn’t doing none of that shit. But shit costs, and I always had to get money. I was never on my ass.”

In addition to dropping a new video, Carti has been on tour for his “Playboi Carti” tour and dropped some new merchandise. The designs which dropped last month feature anime inspired prints of the Playboi with a bevy of play girls.

A$AP Ferg is getting ready to hit the road later this month for the “Turnt & Burnt” Tour with Playboi Carti & Rob $tone, but before he does he’s got a treat for fans.

In celebration of his 28th birthday today (10/20),  the Harlem spitter decided to release a new remix to his hit single “New Level” featuring Future, off of his highly anticipated sophomore album Always, Strive, And Prosper, now adding A$AP Rocky and Lil Uzi Vert along with Future to the track which premiered last night.

Besides being a reignited banger, the song also features a few politically-aware lines from Ferg:

“Broke, poor, they eliminate us, throw my people down the incinerator / MalcolmX, Martin Luther, Jim Crow is back at it.”

In addition to appearing on the revived heat, A$AP Rocky also recently announced that the A$AP Mob project Cozy Tapes is finally finished. Although no official release date has been set, fans have been having fun with the “Cozy Boy Challenge”, which A$AP Rocky has been posting via Twitter.

A$AP Rocky tweets after attack in New Zealand hotel elevator. While the life of a celebrity may be overwhelming at times, (no please, tell me how you can’t handle the pressure of fortune and adoration) a rapper’s accessibility adds a whole other piece to the celebrity puzzle. TMZ reported that Flacko was jumped by three men in a New Zealand hotel elevator. Witnesses reported that amidst the attack, Rocky protected the girls who were in the elevator with him, until hotel security eventually broke it up the altercation. While I’m obviously speculating, there had to be more than just terrible judgment and too much “Lord Of The Rings” involved. (Get it? LOTR was filmed in New Zealand – never mind) Nevertheless, the police arrested a 35 year-old New Zealander and Rocky took to Twitter to clear the air in what is obviously the most “I be that pretty muthat fu*ka” type of way. All kidding aside, it’s great news he’s fine and what this shows is not only is everyone susceptible to violence and inexplicable nonsense, but the limelight often times positions people to be more prone to these things, almost creating a target of sorts. Between the music and fashion worlds, the limelight shines heavy on Rakim Mayers. Playing it in my head and hearing the absurdity of the “Fu*k A$AP” chant, all I can hear is “Rocky, Rocky, Rocky.”

A$AP Mob has been consistent with their weekly content release, Wavy Wednesday, series, Today following up on his latest release “L.Y.B.B,” A$AP Twelvyy connects with fellow A$AP Mob members A$AP Rocky & A$AP Nast to release “Lords Never Worry”. The track has a radical feel as A$AP Nast raps, “we the new Black Panthers, bitch get your hands up, we in it for the ransom money, power, respect, blocks gave us the answer New World Order shit, always strive and prosper.”

The track will be on A$AP Mob’s new complication project Cozy Tapes and serves as one of Twelvyy’s singles. Recently, A$AP Rocky discussed the project on Ebro and Hot 97 “It’s the Yams album that he was working on before he passed. So it’s basically an A$AP collective. Like your Ruff Ryders Volume 1 type, Ryde or Die Vol. 1 or like Diplomatic Immunity. He broke down in his notes and he would tell me who he wants on there. We was about to start working on it.”

The Mob also released an additional track for Wavy Wednesday with a A$AP Ferg remix to O.T. Genasis and Young Dolph’s record, “Cut It”. Ferg is expected to release his new project, Always Strive and Prosper, sometime this month.  Take a listen the new tracks below.

Multitalented artist Akhil Sesh is letting you into his world and travels with his new short film, Nippon Noir. If you’re wondering why this ‘Seshed Up’ artist looks familiar, you may remember seeing him recently featured as May’s RESPECT. Photographer of the Month for his unique way of capturing NYC and members of A$AP Mob. Utilizing his signature visual aesthetic, Akhil brings us a self-directed experience captured in Japan during his visit to the country. Featuring an orginal soundtrack supplied by the artist, this black-and-white effort encapsulates various facets of the country from the peacefulness of Kyoto to the fast-paced city life of Toyko, while giving us hypnotic kaleidoscopic feels.
