Remember all that hubbub over Monica’s release of “Anything (To Find You)“?  Well, she has finally dropped the visuals to her hotly contested track, and the product really does the song justice.  The collaboration with Rick Ross is in full swing on this soulful tune, and it’s still a banger sans Lil Kim.  The first single off Monica’s new album, My Life, certainly doesn’t disappoint, but we’ll have to wait a bit longer for the album in its entirety.  Check out the video below.

With all the chatter surrounding Monica’s new joint, Anything (To Find You) it is surprising that the track wasn’t pulled completely.  The original version was supposed to include Monica, Rick Ross and Lil Kim, but problems regarding the use of the sample from Biggie’s “Who Shot Ya” changed that.  The final version is now out, sans Lil Kim.  Despite the banging tune, Volleta Wallace (Biggie’s mom) was not happy with use of her son’s music without her clearance.  This is just the latest episode in the ongoing saga that is the relationship between Wallace and Lil Kim.

Anywho, here we have brought together both versions in addition to Biggie’s original track, which is sampled on the beat.  Only time will tell what happens to this track, but Rozay’s verse at the beginning is still giving me chills (listen from 2:50 on Who Shot Ya).

Monica‘s back with a new single featuring Rick Ross and Lil Kim. Produced by Missy Elliot, the song samples Biggie‘s “Who Shot Ya?” off the 1994 classic Ready To Die. “Anything (To Find You)” is the first single off of Monica’s seventh album, New Life, tentatively to be released on October 4th.
