I’ll tell you what’s in my lunch box, if you tell me what’s in yours! A sandwich, some chips, a brownie – and a note on how to be a HERO!  That is just the tip of the iceberg of what little Amelie Clarke gets in her lunch box every single day. Everyday when Amelie goes to lunch, she can expect something more than just a sandwich and cookie; she can expect to get an inspirational note from MOM!

Amelie’s mom, Julie, hand writes, draws and colors an inspirational note to go along with her daughters lunch every single night and sometimes into the early morning according to 3wkyc.com. Julie started the task this year once Amelie started going to Kindergarten. Julie who’s own mother had four kids to look after, didn’t have the time to make such crafty notes for them as she was growing up, she probably busy trying to keep the kids off the furniture, Julie stated.

Once Julie finishing making the letter, she then turns around and post them to her Instagram  account called amelieslunchnotes. As of right now there are only 100 followers but the notes of inspiration have reached people a far as Germany. A family friend, Beth Gaffney, stated that she looks forward to opening her Instagram account everyday just to read the notes and to the places that these notes are reaching–we can assume that everyone else around the world feels the same way. The notes contain advice, words of wisdom and encouragement that are needed for everyone – not just 6yr olds, stated Amelie’s mom.

While this may not seem as important to some but kind words and encouragement could be just the thing someone needs to get them through the day. Whether you’re 6 or 106, everyone could use a dose of inspiration in a note. A simple gesture goes a long way!
