“I have a whole lotta people back home that I want to include, but it’s like I gotta do it in a system, some people don’t even know they about to get the phone call. But I’m gon’ be like; “Yo, I know this is random but can you just fly to L.A. within a week?” It’s a real album so it’s a process.”

Wale never fails to add a creative touch to his musical talents, reflected perfectly through his recent album artwork. Having already brought us a full length tracklist and arranged features, we were currently awaiting the third cover for the The Album About Nothing. Well, luckily for fans, we don’t need to search any further, as the new design is everything the Ambition artist imagined it to be:

“This third cover was all my idea. This is essentially what the album is to me, a moment of clarity and a moment of expression. This cover is me staring blankly into nowhere. Jerry [Seinfeld] is not there, he’s in my mind. This album is of Jerry speaking as my conscious. The evil voice and the positive voice, he is both of them. Maybe I’m talking to myself. Maybe I’ve lost my mind. There lies a story. My story. And in a few days the world will know it. Illuminate.”

The follow up to The Gifted drops March 31st so be ready to fall into the world of Wale, as he brings a unique story, as only he can tell it.

After hitting up Funkmaster Flex at Hot 97 and attending Stalley’s Savage Journey listening session, Wale dropped visuals to the title track off of his Ambition album. Meek Millz and Rick Ross accompany the video with verses and younger versions of themselves being depicted in the video. MMG is everywhere these days. Oh what’s that? Rick Ross is performing at Hammerstein Ballroom tonight in NYC? New York’s MMG invasion has yet to die down.

Often a rarity, a song that is both commercially appealing and actually good, gets visual identity as Wale releases the music video for Lotus Flower Bomb off of his highly successful sophomore LP Ambition. If you’re up on things, or a hint was provided to you by some internet entity not to be named, you’d recognize that the beginning of the video features a play on this scene from Poetic Justice, with Wale as Tupac and Bre Scullark as Janet, although they should have synced the camera angles… step your game up (not you Wale, everyone who’s not up on things. Watch the video below she’s it’s a good one.

Yesterday, Wale dropped a video to his “Mass Appeal Freestyle“.  It’s been a busy week for the MMG spitta with the drop of his sophomore album Ambition, but nobody will blame him for more getting in more work in the studio. Mr. Folarin throws it up to the late emcee Guru before going in on the Gang Starr banger. Few joints can touch the flair of “Mass Appeal,” but the DC-bred emcee does his thing on the DJ Premier offering. Be sure to check out the video below.
