<p>Last season <strong>The Legends</strong> were left to take the place of the <strong>Time Masters</strong> that were destroyed. The season premiere of <em>Legends</em> started in Star City 2016 and uses flashbacks to tell the story of what happened to the Legends.</p>
<p><strong><u>Star City 2016:</u></strong></p>
<p><strong>Dr. Nate Heywood</strong> comes to <strong>Oliver Queen</strong> to tell him that the Legends are in trouble. Heywood is a time detective/historian who found the Legend’s timeship in the bottom of the ocean. Queen and Heywood enter the ship and see that it is still keeping <strong>Mick</strong> in stasis. They wake Mick up and he begins to tell the story of what happened to the rest of the team.</p>
<p><strong><u>France 1637:</u></strong></p>
<p>The team is trying to save the King of France. Well most of the team. <strong>Sarah</strong> is busy fornicating with the Queen while the men are battling. They end up saving the King and restore a small portion of history.</p>
<p>Once the team heads back to the ship they experience a time quake; an unusually large aberration in NYC 1942. NYC was nuked by Nazi’s in 1942. The exact place <strong>Rex Tyler</strong> told them not to return to as this would be the year the team is killed. The team then discovers that WWII last two more years and <strong>Einstein</strong> goes missing. Putting two and two together the team realizes Einstein was kidnapped to create the atomic bomb.</p>
<p><strong><u>NYC 1942:</u></strong></p>
<p>The team kidnaps Einstein only to discover his ex-wife was the one who helped the Nazi’s create the atomic bomb. Mick’s love for “roasting Nazi’s” and Sarah’s quest to kill <strong>Damien Dhark</strong> costs the team greatly. They are unable to get the bomb and it makes its way onto a submarine.</p>
<p><strong>Rip Hunter</strong> decides to take matters into his own hands. He has been secretly teaching <strong>Jefferson</strong> about the timeship and uses the time scatter he created to send the team into different parts of history. All except Mick of course who was too injured to travel. Mick is placed in stasis as Rip and the timeship make a collision course for the torpedo with the bomb and stop NYC from being nuked. Rip presumably goes down with his ship.</p>
<p><strong><u>Star City 2016:</u></strong></p>
<p>Mick and Heywood team up to find the other Legends.</p>
<p><strong><u>South Dakota 70 Million Years Ago:</u></strong></p>
<p><strong>Ray</strong> is a caveman being chased by a T-Rex.</p>
<p><strong><u>England 821:</u></strong></p>
<p>Jefferson and <strong>Martin</strong> are Jesters that are about to have their heads taken off.</p>
<p><strong><u>Salem 1693:</u></strong></p>
<p>Sarah is corrupting women as usual and is deemed a witch to be burned at the stake.</p>
<p>After the team is reassembled they hear Rip’s final message. “History is yours now, my dear Legends.” The team is still unable to locate him.</p>
<p><strong><u>Columbia 1942:</u></strong></p>
<p>We then head to 1942 Columbia where Einstein acknowledges his ex-wife’s contributions and in turn restores history. We also learn that Damien Dhark and <strong>Eobard Thawne</strong> (<strong>Reverse Flash</strong>) are working together. The Legends are then confronted by the <strong>Justice Society of America (JSA)</strong>.</p>
<p>The JSA is made up of <strong>Commander Steel, Dr. Mid-Nite, Hourman</strong> (Rex Tyler), <strong>Vixen, Stargirl</strong> and <strong>Obsidian</strong>.</p>
<p><strong><u>JSA Headquarters 1942:</u></strong></p>
<p>The Legends are held in a cell at the JSA headquarters while Thawne is out there giving a serum to <strong>Hitler</strong> that creates super soldiers. After pleading their case the Legends are let go and oddly enough Martin is appointed interim captain of the ship.</p>
<p>Both the JSA and Legends team up (well The Legends intrude on the JSA’s undercover operation…. same thing) to go after <strong>Krieger</strong> aka <strong>Captain Nazi</strong> to save the JSA members from dying. Martin sings for his life and Ray causes a fight after he won’t salute Hitler. Stargirl shuts down the fight with one blast from her staff.</p>
<p>The teams head back to the ship and that is where Sarah discovers Heywood is a hemophiliac; his blood doesn’t clot and he could die from a minor injury.</p>
<p><strong><u>Fountainbleu Forest 1942:</u></strong></p>
<p>Captain Nazi injects himself with the serum and becomes a hulk-like figure. The teams are forced to pull back and leave behind Vixen and Ray. However, Rex does recover the amulet.</p>
<p>Captain Nazi and tow capture <strong>The Atom</strong> (Ray) and Vixen. Rex is willing to sacrifice the two to end the war a day earlier, however Sarah (now the new captain of the ship) won’t allow that to happen.</p>
<p>Back in the bunker where Ray and Vixen are being kept Ray discovers the serum and tweaks it in order to give him superpowers. Unfortunately before he is able to inject himself he is stopped by the JSA and Legends rescue.</p>
<p>Outside the camp Commander Steel and Dr. Mid-Nite are being attacked by Captain Nazi. Heywood to the rescue! Nate rescues his grandfather via motorcycle and watches Captain Nazi be decimated by an airstrike. However, the celebration doesn’t last long as the grandson-grandfather team are also hit by the airstrike. Nate suffers severe internal bleeding and is basically dying until Ray sacrifices his chance at superpowers and gives the serum to Nate, saving his life. They return to NYC 1942.</p>
<p><strong><u>NYC 1942:</u></strong></p>
<p>Commander Steel’s dog tags return around Nate’s neck signifying the timeline has been restored.</p>
<p><strong><u>JSA Headquarters 1942:</u></strong></p>
<p>Rex meets Thawne face to face and learns that Thawne erased him from the timeline. Thawne then kills Rex and steals the amulet.</p>
<p><strong><u>Next Week</u></strong></p>
<p>The team heads to Japan and faces off with <strong>Shogun</strong>.</p>
<p>Nate Heywood becomes <strong>Citizen Steel</strong>.</p>

<p>If it were up to fans to keep music afloat, most artists would drown in the ever-expanding sea of new material. Luckily, artists have their own strategies for staying float, namely music videos. Though the past 10 days have relentlessly offered us more and more new music, <strong>Prodigy</strong> and <strong>The Alchemist</strong> refuse to be overshadowed. Continuing the promotion for <em><strong>Albert Einstein,</strong> </em>they&#8217;ve released the video for &#8220;Give Em&#8217; Hell.&#8221; The video is standard fare, but the music really shines. Prodigy&#8217;s casual intensity and The Alchemist&#8217;s twisted loops are a match made in rap blogger nerd heaven*. Listen below and cop <em><strong>Albert Einstein</strong> </em>immediately.</p>
<p><iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/lHnFHIdxlLo" height="315" width="560" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0"></iframe></p>
<p>*Rap blogger nerd heaven does not exist and never will.</p>

<p>A few weeks ago we nominated the cover art for <em><strong>Albert Einstein</strong></em><strong> </strong>to <a href="http://respect-mag.com/best-album-and-single-artwork-of-2013-so-far/">be the best of the year</a> (so far). Does the music follow suit? Prodigy and the Alchemist linked up before on <em><strong>Return of the Mac, </strong></em>so the recipe should be a success.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s only one way to find out. Stream <a href="http://www.djbooth.net/index/albums/review/prodigy-alchemist-albert-einstein#stream">here</a> or wait a day for the album to be released via <strong>Infamous Records. </strong>We know what we&#8217;re going to do.</p>
<p>(<a href="http://www.djbooth.net/index/albums/review/prodigy-alchemist-albert-einstein#stream">This</a>).</p>

<p>The year isn&#8217;t even half-way done, but we&#8217;ve already seen some very memorable artwork for singles, albums, and mix-tapes. Below is a compilation of ten of our favorites.  While music is their primary medium, these artists clearly understand that strong acoustics are only strengthened by strong visuals.  We doubt that any of these artists would willingly say, &#8220;Yeezy taught me,&#8221; but in terms of the quality of these covers, <strong>Kanye</strong>&#8216;s go-to artist <strong> <a href="http://respect-mag.com/george-condo-kanye-wests-go-to-artist/">George Condo</a> </strong>definitely comes to mind.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em></em><em><br />
</em></p>
<p> 10. The cover art for <a href="http://respect-mag.com/new-mixtape-harry-fraud-adrift/"><strong>Harry Fraud</strong></a>&#8216;s <em>Adrift</em> is a beautiful picture of a pier that evokes alienation by contrasting the grey sky with the ocean and emphasizing the distance between the pier and the beach.</p>
<p><a href="http://respect-mag.com/best-album-and-single-artwork-of-2013-so-far/harryfraud-adrift/" rel="attachment wp-att-60220"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="60220" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/05/best-album-and-single-artwork-of-2013-so-far/harryfraud-adrift/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/harryfraud-adrift.jpg?fit=500%2C500&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="500,500" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="harryfraud-adrift" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/harryfraud-adrift.jpg?fit=500%2C500&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/harryfraud-adrift.jpg?fit=500%2C500&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-60220 aligncenter" alt="harryfraud-adrift" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/harryfraud-adrift.jpg?resize=500%2C500" width="500" height="500" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p>9. <a href="http://respect-mag.com/mixtape-download-thelonious-martin-from-me-to-you/"><strong>Thelonious Martin&#8217;s</strong></a> <em>From Me to You &#8211;</em><strong></strong>artwork has many layers to it. In addition to its dark background, if you look closer you can see some writing that resembles newsprint. Somehow, probably with a meticulous attention to detail, the artist was able to give the viewer the sense that light is coming out of the piece itself.</p>
<p><a href="http://respect-mag.com/best-album-and-single-artwork-of-2013-so-far/martin-2/" rel="attachment wp-att-60201"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="60201" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/05/best-album-and-single-artwork-of-2013-so-far/martin-2/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Martin.jpg?fit=600%2C600&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="600,600" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="Martin 9" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Martin.jpg?fit=600%2C600&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Martin.jpg?fit=600%2C600&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-60201 aligncenter" alt="Martin 9" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Martin.jpg?resize=600%2C600" width="600" height="600" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p>8.  <strong>Ghostface Killah and Adrian Younge</strong>  know how to go old school with <em>12 Reasons to Die</em>. This cover is straight out of the blaxploitation thriller playbook.</p>
<p><a href="http://respect-mag.com/best-album-and-single-artwork-of-2013-so-far/12reasonscover-640x644/" rel="attachment wp-att-60189"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="60189" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/05/best-album-and-single-artwork-of-2013-so-far/12reasonscover-640x644/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/12ReasonsCover-640x644.jpg?fit=640%2C644&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="640,644" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="12ReasonsCover " data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/12ReasonsCover-640x644.jpg?fit=640%2C644&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/12ReasonsCover-640x644.jpg?fit=640%2C644&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-60189 aligncenter" alt="12ReasonsCover " src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/12ReasonsCover-640x644.jpg?resize=640%2C644" width="640" height="644" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p>7. &#8220;Creepy&#8221; doesn&#8217;t even begin to describe <a href="http://respect-mag.com/new-video-azealia-banks-yung-rapunxel/">Azealia Banks</a>&#8216; artwork for &#8220;Yung Rapunzel &#8220;. The cover is brutally nightmarish and the track is just as dark. Notice the similarity between the cover and Rene Magritte&#8217;s painting, &#8220;<a href="http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_men652vpZX1r9d4yjo1_1280.jpg">The Rape</a>.&#8221;</p>
<p><a href="http://respect-mag.com/best-album-and-single-artwork-of-2013-so-far/azealia-banks-yung-rapunxel/" rel="attachment wp-att-60205"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="60205" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/05/best-album-and-single-artwork-of-2013-so-far/azealia-banks-yung-rapunxel/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Azealia-Banks-Yung-Rapunxel.png?fit=600%2C600&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="600,600" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="Azealia-Banks-Yung-Rapunxel" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Azealia-Banks-Yung-Rapunxel.png?fit=600%2C600&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Azealia-Banks-Yung-Rapunxel.png?fit=600%2C600&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-60205 aligncenter" alt="Azealia-Banks-Yung-Rapunxel" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Azealia-Banks-Yung-Rapunxel.png?resize=600%2C600" width="600" height="600" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p>6. <strong><a href="http://respect-mag.com/new-album-quasimoto-yessir-whatever/">Quasimoto</a></strong> – <em>Yessir Whatever</em> &#8211; The concept for this art work is innovative and intriguing. Using a sticker that creates an illusion of movement, the art has multiple layers, just like a <strong>Madlib </strong>beat.</p>

<p>5. <strong>Tyler, The creator</strong>  artwork for <em>Wolf</em>  shows us a fun portrait of Tyler as a child. This work is admirable due to it&#8217;s high attention to details. If you look at the tree you&#8217;ll notice a subtle eye; in the bottom right you can see a random doll head on top of a little trunk; and at the bottom left what looks like a chipmunk dressed in a traditional Irish outfit. This art work is fun and a little ridiculous, much like the artist himself.</p>

<p>4. <strong>Big K.R.I.T</strong>&#8216;s cover for  <em>King Remembered in Time</em> is reminiscent of an ancient Greek vase. The gold color in contrast with the dark-purple galactic background works very well.</p>

<p>3. The art work for <strong>ANTHM</strong>&#8216;s latest project,  produced by <strong>Blu</strong> as GODleeBarnes, features a very harmonious fusion of writing and image.</p>
<p><a href="http://respect-mag.com/best-album-and-single-artwork-of-2013-so-far/20130304-dust/" rel="attachment wp-att-60207"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="60207" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/05/best-album-and-single-artwork-of-2013-so-far/20130304-dust/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/20130304-DUST.jpg?fit=500%2C500&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="500,500" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="anthm duust 3" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/20130304-DUST.jpg?fit=500%2C500&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/20130304-DUST.jpg?fit=500%2C500&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-60207 aligncenter" alt="anthm duust 3" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/20130304-DUST.jpg?resize=500%2C500" width="500" height="500" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p>2. <strong>Chance The Rapper </strong>embraces his weird side<strong> , </strong>using a combination of psychedelic and galactic imagery to evoke his uniqueness. The intriguing thing is that this uniqueness is contrasted by the trees and the home at the bottom. It&#8217;s the perfect combination of being down-to-Earth and out of this world.<strong></strong></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://respect-mag.com/best-album-and-single-artwork-of-2013-so-far/chance-the-rapper-acid-rap/" rel="attachment wp-att-60185"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="60185" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/05/best-album-and-single-artwork-of-2013-so-far/chance-the-rapper-acid-rap/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/chance-the-rapper-acid-rap.jpg?fit=2797%2C2797&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="2797,2797" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="chance the rapper acid rap cover" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/chance-the-rapper-acid-rap.jpg?fit=2797%2C2797&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/chance-the-rapper-acid-rap.jpg?fit=640%2C640&amp;ssl=1" class="wp-image-60185 aligncenter" alt="chance-the-rapper-acid-rap" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/chance-the-rapper-acid-rap.jpg?resize=564%2C564" width="564" height="564" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p>1. Finally, the victory goes to <strong>Mobb Deep’s Prodigy </strong>and <strong>The Alchemist</strong> artwork for their joint LP, <em>Albert Einstein. </em>This art cover is a piece of art that can stand on its own without the music. The artist&#8217;s ability to re-create the well-known portrait of Einstein with originality  and adaptability to contemporary times is beyond admirable.</p>
