Often more exciting than a fire feature line on track, is a production line that includes The legendary Alchemist. However, it should really come as no surprise since AG Da Coroner began his rise in the world of hip-hop, he’s been riddled with hella dope co-signs. From his J-Love and Action Bronson affiliations and stories of chopping it up with the late great B.I.G., Coroner can easily rest on his connected laurels but refuses to do so—he’s still hungry, still effortlessly sh*ttin on subpar rappers and he makes you well aware by continuously releasing quality music.

By now, you’re probably familiar with the stilo and how he has a pretty evident way of letting listeners know he kills competition.  Not to mention the fact that homie really worked in the morgue. This comes across in the almost gloomy, eerily paced cadence in which he delivers the increasingly truculent bars on “The Stick-Up”. The track includes AG’s vocals doubled up over Hendrix Experience-esque guitar riffs and necessary record scratches.

Remember that fire feature mentioned earlier? Well, that brings us to “I95”, produced by one of today’s heavyweights, V Don, where fellow East Harlem emcee, Bodega Bamz meets AG at his shadowy base on the chorus, evocative of that NY 90’s Goodfellas wave (with obligatory nod to John Gotti): “I95 when we traffic,OT/Bricks in that Ralph Lauren duffle bag,low-key/Eating red lights,burning sour out the sunroof/Speeding through the streets thats me,untouchable.” Throughout the banger, both emcees are influenced to beast on their respective verses, to match the heat of the last.

It’s safe to say New York City is bubbling right now, “Park Avenue” adding yet another promising cut to the endless list of east coast talent. Long time collaborators Action Bronson and Roc Marciano share grounds on Park Ave. with AG Da Coroner. Canvasing Polo Pirate’s handsome guitar riff and drum display, the three stay true to their sound – as expected.

You may recall the announcement that AG is now under the Man Bites Dog Records umbrella, Roc Marciano fully responsibile for the effortless, warm welcome. Roc states, “I wanted to sign [AG Da] Coroner because he’s one of my new favorite artists. Coroner is just ill, I like his voice, his demeanor and him as a person. A real serious talent.” 

This is simply a taste of what’s to come this February, as AG and Man Bites Dog gather up their armor for the forthcoming ‘Sip The Nectar’ Lp – AG’s full length debut. It’s promising. It’s real. It’s hip-hop. That’s why we’re here right? Enough yap – enjoy the record. Peace and love:

Produced by Harry Fraud and Tommy Mas, Meyhem Lauren‘s newest project, Respect The Fly Shit, drops on Thursday. For the last release before its release, Lauren tags in Action Bronson & AG Da Coroner for assistance. The track features some sultry horns, slight record player static and classic Bronson food rhetoric. The entire project was done at SXSW in an Embassy Suites hotel “while everyone else was out being dweebs,” as Action Bronson put it. Peep the video below to hear how it all went down.
