Quick question before I start this piece off: Have you guys been to the Northwest? Man, I haven’t, but I’ve heard glory stories about how chill the whole region is, boasting hipster utopias like Seattle & of course Portland. The music, from what I understand, follows this path as well as Portland native $adboy checks in with his eerie new track, “Let it Go.”

Starting off with a soothing, yet kind of emotional set of vocals to kick the track off, the Portland rep then let’s the beat ride out for a while, before ripping off a couple of downtempo, perfectly placed verses in between the brilliant hooks. In short, although I’ve never been to the Northwest, this is exactly what I pictured it sounding like.
