It’s not easy to run from movie references to rape threats to disses in the same breath, but young Baltimorean emcee Action Bastard (not to be confused with Action Bronson) pulls off verbal feats with a flare and comedic sense that make him a standout among the waves of Soundcloud soundalikes. On “Candle Jack” he professes his love for Kat Dennings (with Thor references to boot), takes aim at a few blog stalwarts, and generally rips a serious beat from producer RUNE ROCK with the same sharp flow that’s been quietly cutting an impressive path since he started dropping tracks this summer.
