If you’ve been paying attention for the past few years, you’ve noticed that genres are slowly melding together. Sometimes this melding results in very, very painful Soundcloud accounts that deserve to be blocked and reported as spam. Other times, it results in hybridized music that deserves to be shared. Producer/DJ/emcee A.CHAL definitely falls into the latter category. His new EP, Ballroom Riots, is a hazy journey through an indifferent atmosphere of hedonism and desire. The title track is the perfect appetizer. Listen, lather and repeat.
