Longtime collaborators 6orn & Geo Fendi have teamed up for a stylish new video for “Oceans,” a wavy banger produced by CEDES.

In fact, the up and coming Fendi is signed to 6orn’s Rich & Fly imprint, where he was previously featured on 6orn’s 2019 EP, Play for Keeps. And their ability to complement each other’s talents continues on this psychedelic slapper. There are a lot of layers to the sounds and vocals of “Oceans,” and you can start to get a better grasp on them thanks to the work of director Pxvcegod Films.

Pxvcegod also worked on all of the animated effects, which bring additional life and color to the already-vibrant track. There’s laser etched demon faces, nostalgic filters, and other engaging elements that make “Oceans” a feast for the eyes and ears. And while this track doesn’t stem from a larger body of work, let’s hope 6orn and Fendi are cookin’ up a project together right now. The world needs it.

It’s a tripped-out celebration in the new video for “Oh Yeah” from rapper 6orn, who continues to push himself artistically with every new release to his name.

The roots of “Oh Yeah” are in the emcee’s 2019 release, Play for Keeps, that brought five new tracks from the genre-defining artist. While other songs flirted with reggae and R&B, “Oh Yeah” embraces modern rap with 808 heavy production supplied by Ethancx, with earworm vocals courtesy of 6orn.

The track also carried a distinctly psychedelic vibe that’s brought to life by director Pxvcegod Films  Their take embodies the equally joyous and weird feel of “Oh Yeah,” a low-key banger that’s absolutely dripping with your personal vice of choice. And if there was ever a time when the world deserves to enjoy a solid buzz, it’s the year 2020.

A big reason for that is what the project’s title actually means to 6orn. “‘Play for Keeps’ is a title that I was feeling at the time of the recording ‘cause the game is rigged and I found the blueprint,” he explains. “So now I’m coming for everything this game has to offer, and I plan on staying with it forever.“

You can hear that passion for the artform throughout the five tracks on here, particularly the lead single “Oh Yeah.” The Ethancx-produced banger showcases 6orn at his most versatile as he seamlessly shape-shifts from one vocal style to the next. It perfectly bridges the gap between his straightforward-rap and pop-leaning approaches, and we get a hint of that on another standout cut, “Kill the Comp,” as well.

Interestingly enough, those are the two solo joints on the release, which otherwise includes guest appearances with his frequent collaborator Geo Fendi on both “No Time” and “The Wave,” as well as the talented newcomer Frankee-Lu who struts her stuff on the club-ready “Bands on Top.” But whether solo or with a guest, 6orn undeniably holds his own across the entirety of Play for Keeps, which actually arrives on the heels of his latest release as part of the duo G-dot & 6orn, Boomsday. Not only that, but you can consider these releases the appetizers for his main course, Scales, which is his much anticipated joint album with acclaimed producer Zaytoven.

The hit-making duo of 6orn & Zaytoven are back with the new video for their single “Ferragamo,” a lavish and summery single dedicated to all of life’s pleasures, taken from their forthcoming collaborative LP, Scales.

The track itself was first released as the summer of 2018 was coming to a close, and it finds a new life as these visuals arrive during what feels like a never-ending heatwave here in the States. The Boston-Atlanta connection of 6orn & Zaytoven are clearly keeping plenty cool, though, with the emcee half of the duo celebrating the good life with some of his favorite ladies.

The visually striking affair is co-directed by KG Pikete and Jada Gil, who capture the energy and swagger of “Ferragamo.” Much like the track’s inspiration—legendary Italian designer Salvatore Ferragamo—there’s an effortless confidence on display throughout the video, and the two directors make sure that vibe is front and center.
