You can read all of the info over at TMZ, but the news everyone expected has arrived: in a presumed effort to get his sentence reduced, Daniel Hernandez — better known as Tekashi and/or 6ix9ine — has implicated his former crew, the Nine Trey Bloods, in multiple criminal activities. He also pled guilty to 9 federal counts, including multiple counts of racketeering, conspiracy, firearms offenses and narcotics trafficking. Here’s a partial summary of his snitching in court, which happened last week:

• 6ix9ine revealed that he joined the Nine Trey Bloods in the Fall of 2017. The following March, he also assisted in a gang attempt to kill a rival to “increase [his] own standing in Nine Trey.” The next month, they robbed a rival at gunpoint.
• On the Chief Keep shooting: “I paid a person to shoot at a rival member of Nine Trey to scare him. The shooting took place in Manhattan.”
• 6ix9ine also admitted to selling heroin in 2017, so there’s that.

6ix9ine also apologized to “the Court, to anyone who was hurt, to my family, friends and fans for what I have done and who I have let down.” Whether or not this helps his case is yet to be seen, but reports have already spotted his name having been removed as a defendant from the 10-person indictment.

Grand opening, grand closing. At least he seems to be doing what he can to protect his family.

After announcing that DUMMY BOY would be shelved indefinitely (and an unfortunate leak), the currently-incarcerated 6ix9ine has had a change of heart. Despite facing some serious federal charges (including rackateering), the New York artist decided that the world shouldn’t be deprived of his long-awaited follow-up to DAY69.

DUMMY BOY sees 13 tracks and appearances from Nicki Minaj (who appears on two cuts, including the hit single “FEFE“), Kanye West (who also appears on two cuts), Lil Baby, Gunna, Tory Lanez, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and more. Very interested to see how this project does critically and commercially.

It was also reported that, as Daniel Hernandez (his real name) the “role model,” he would have to 1.) stop saying TreyWay and associating with gang activity and 2.) stay out of trouble or risk new consequences. Apparently, it’s simply not possible to achieve the latter demand.

Following the court hearing, 6ix9ine was set to meet with an exec from TenThousand Projects (his label), when said exec turned away his entourage. While 6ix9ine and faily reportedly stayed clear of an issue, said entourage then decided to return to where the meeting was to take place and that when s*** got real (source):

The dinner meeting was planned with record exec Elliot Grainge who was waiting for Tekashi at the restaurant with his two bodyguards, retired NYPD detective Efrain Vasquez and Maurice Fernandez. When the “STOOPID” rapper came through the spot with his 7-person crew, an altercation broke out. 6ix9ine called off the meeting and left the spot, but some members of his entourage stayed put and insisted they be allowed to enter. One of them is said to have yelled, “F*ck this, I’m getting inside!”

Fernandez texted Vasquez who was inside, informing him of the situation. Vasquez, the former detective, came outside for backup since they feared the men had guns. Then one of these men, Shottie, allegedly threatened, “I’m going to violate you both with gunshots.” Another guy chimed in, “Shoot these motherf***ers! Gunfire!”

One of Tekashi’s guys reportedly hit Vasquez on the head with a chair. Two witnesses claim this man was Shottie. Then Vasquez noticed another guy pulling up his shirt and reaching into his waistband. This is the moment Vasquez decided to fire 2 rounds, hitting one of Tekashi’s men in the stomach.

Everyone fled the scene after the gunshots, but 2 of the 3 Tekashi associates involved in the violence were tracked down by police: Faheem “Crippie” Walter and Zachary Bunce. Shottie whose real name is Kifano Jordan has not been apprehended.

No word on if this one will end quickly or become a bigger problem for 6ix9ine and/or his associates. As we wait, please enjoy some actual music from the rapper — a dope collab with Dutch artist Armoo titled “Bozoo.”

6ix9ine looks to stay undefeated on the Billboard charts with his latest. Following the Nicki Minaj and Murda Beatz-assisted “FEFE” comes the Tay Keith-produced banger “STOOPID,” which (video-wise) sees him running around Dubai, I think. Adding to the flare, 6ix9ine even gets some audio from none other than incarcerated rapper Bobby Shmurda, making for a surprising collaboration.

Before I get to the point of this post, I must say….Power‘s last episode was an absolute mindf***. I haven’t been this floored from great TV since The Wire. Even as he’s on top with his small-screen hustle, 50 Cent is still keeping his foot on your neck in the music world, too.

Case-in-point: Uncle Murda recently dropped of his new single (and visual for) “Get The Strap,” named after 50’s now-infamous catchphrase. In addition to the G-Unit head honcho, we also see that enemies-turned-friends Casanova and 6ix9ine are also on the record, making for one of the biggest posse cuts from New York City this year. Also noted: this was the video shoot where this happened, so there’s that.
