Joey Bada$$ treats us to brand new music off his upcoming album B4.DA.$$. The first-single is titled “Big Dusty” and it’s exactly what you would expect from the Brooklyn rapper. Produced by Kirk Knight, the cut has a dark, eerie boom bap feel to it that has New York written all over it. Ride out to this one below.

Joey Bada$$ fans were in for a treat as he released a snippet of a single from his upcoming debut album,  B4.Da.$$  On“”Big Poppa Swank,” Joey doesn’t veer far from his classic underground sound. His flow is just as grimy as it was on his first mixtape, 1999 and the production is as nostalgic as ever. Joey’s B4.Da.$$ is one of the most anticipated hip-hop albums of 2014 and is scheduled to be released sometime this year.  Check out the unreleased snippet below.

It’s genuinely intriguing how far Joey Bada$$ has come in one year. As demonstrated by his mixtape Rejex, he’s been rapping the same way – lots of internal rhymes, puns on pronunciations, heavy references – since he was 15, yet he has still found ways to innovate. Last year’s project, 1999, was a hit, showing him in top form, yet compared to last year, he’s gotten even better. “95 Til Infinity” features him trading his foregoing his typically casual flow for an earnest, somewhat anguished delivery.

Citing Ab-Soul and briefly diving into politics, you get the feeling that his focus may have changed a little bit since last year. Summer Knights, his next project, was supposed to drop today, but it’s been pushed back. Pushbacks are usually bummers, but “95 Til Infinity” makes it worth the wait; Joey is on the brink of something amazing. Listen below.

100s, the pimp- influenced, perm-rocking rapper from the West Coast, has released a new set of visuals from last year’s project, Ice Cold Perm. The video is clearly nostalgic, featuring choreography and background effects straight out of the 90s. Watch below. And damn, that perm truly is ice cold.

Joey Bada$$ has made it! After putting a lot of work in since the release of his 1999 mixtape, Joey Bada$$ finally made his television debut on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” The Brooklyn rapper performed “Waves” and was backed by none other but The Roots. For his television debut, Joey rocked it. His flow was smooth and he dominated the stage like any major artist would. Kudos to Fallon for recognizing the talent and giving him the opportunity.Check out the performance below.

Fresh off of a nice CMJ Music Marathon run, Joey Bada$$ and the Pro Era crew get back to business with the latest visual release, “From DaTomb$” off his 1999 project, released earlier this year. The visual, while new, still captures an old identity in New York City, as the crew rides through Brooklyn on the trains and get up on the basketball court. Check out for the Pro Era tape set to hit the internet on December 21st, as well as the crew on Jimmy Fallon this Friday.

Sitting atop net-less basketball rims and roaming through subway stations (pre-Sandy) with the ’90s era grainy video footage, Bada$$ has blessed us with some new visuals. Scratches come from none other than Statik Seltakah, who also makes an appearance in the vid. Chuck Strangers‘ exciting middle verse helps bring the track some energy. The cut “Fromdatomb$” comes off of Joey’s ill mixtape, “1999.”
