Not at all.

The event that aired on Revolt TV and was hosted by Hannibal Burress had performances and appearances by Janelle Monáe, Andra Day, Musiq Soulchild, and even Jussie Smollett; just to name a few.

The SaveMoney MC even took the stage that night to perform a Flint water crisis remix of “U Mad” and debut a snippet of his new song “16 Shots.”

“He never had a chance, we all know it’s ’cause he’s black. Shot him 16 times, how f*cked up is that? Now the police super intendent wanna double back.” Vic raps.

The song is dedicated to a 17-year-old who was fatally shot by a police officer.

“In Chicago recently, Laquan McDonald was shot 16 times by the police, shot on the ground while he was already dead. The biggest thing is they don’t respect our lives and that our lives have values, but we know we do and that’s why we’re here right now.”

If anyone does recall, Vic was also in Chicago last November protesting after a graphic video of Officer Jason Van Dyke cold heartedly shooting Laquan back in October 2014 was released.

Even videos of Vic clashing with a police officer and stating that a police officer laid his hands on him surfaced throughout the net.

“We out in downtown Chicago right now. I just got hands put on me by police. We want justice for Laquan and we want justice for our people.”

With Kendrick’s unforgettable Grammy performance, Beyoncé’s “ok ladies, now let’s get in formation” (sorry I had a moment), and many other artists incorporating police misconduct and racial injustice into their music. I must admit, there is no better way to end Black History Month this year.

But Vic, keep doing your thing, we ain’t mad.
