UPDATE: Don’t know how we missed this, but — in addition to the original release of NAV’s new album Bad Habits — the Canadian star also liberated a Deluxe version with 8 additional songs, including the Future-assisted “Amazing.” Feel free to enjoy the updated version below.

I’m not really sure what the hell happened, but for a minute, we all thought that NAV wasn’t dropping music until Lil Uzi Vert did — only for his manager to leak new music anyway. Only a week later, we get a whole album from the Canadian artist/producer titled “Bad Habits,” which sees 16 tracks and features from Lil Durk, Gunna, Young Thug, The Weeknd and Meek Mill.

One person the project doesn’t feature is (surprisingly) Lil Uzi Vert. The two did have a track titled “Habits” that was meant to be included; unfortunately, DJ Drama and Don Cannon reportedly put the kibosh on that:

If all of this is legit, it may further explain why Uzi fans haven’t yet seen Eternal Atake (and, possibly, may never see it)…it’s like the Birdman/Lil Wayne debacle all over again.

24hrs – Houses On The Hill

I’d always been f***in’ with 24hrs since he was in the D.C. area going by another name (which found him in some legal trouble). With that said, I’m very happy to see that the Atlanta-based artist has delivered his official debut album titled Houses On The Hill, which sees executive production from Hit-Boy and Ty Dolla $ign (someone who’s been riding for him heavy) and additional appearances from DOM KENNEDY, Vic Mensa, Moneybagg Yo, MadeinTYO, Lil Pump, Smokepurpp, PnB Rock and more. Vibe to it below.

City Girls – Girl Code

I’ll be honest, I’m just getting to know who the City Girls are. Not that my tardiness makes a difference, as the Miami duo has been setting the streets on fire, even with one of its members currently in prison. Now aligned with Quality Control, City Girls now deliver a new project titled Girl Code, a proper follow-up to their well-received debut PERIOD. Cardi B, Lil Baby and Jacquees provide assistance, but it’s clear that J.T. and Yung Miami have the talent and star power to hold their own.

Mike WiLL Made-It – Creed II: The Album

I know that, once Mike WiLL Made-It took the reigns on the music accompaniment to the forthcoming Creed sequel, that our audio experience would be in good hands. Today, we see that project — Creed II: The Album — come to fruition, which features a plethora of Mike’s usual suspects and more — Lil Wayne, Nas, J. Cole, Vince Staples, Ella Mai, A$AP Rocky, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Rae Sremmurd, Gucci Mane, YG, Gunna and more join in on the fun. Even Creed star Tessa Thompson appears on the tracklist, adding to the all-around effort from the acclaiming Atlanta super-producer. Check it out below.

Big K.R.I.T. – Thrice X

4eva Is A Mighty Long Time (hell, even Cadillactica) are still in my regular rotation, but I’m always keeping an eye out for new music from Big K.R.I.T. While I am not sure that this is it, fans should be happy to receive a new three-song EP from the Mississippi artist/producer titled Thrice X, which you can stream below. I may need to live with it a bit longer (or, just hold out for that next album).

Anderson .Paak – Oxnard

This project doesn’t need much setup. Anderson .Paak‘s Oxnard is probably the most anticipated album of this week, and no one’s expecting the Aftermath artist’s new effort to be anything short of amazing. Fronted by the Kendrick Lamar-assisted single “Tints,” this funky number also sees assistance from Pusha T, BJ The Chicago Kid, Q-Tip, J. Cole, Snoop Dogg, (bossman) Dr. Dre and more. Just press play and be hella impressed.

Leikeli47 – Acrylic

Brooklyn’s own masked artist Leikeli47 is here with a new album titled Acrylic. As with her identity, I don’t know much about the pieces that came together to make this album (although it’s clear DJ Paul had a hand in it), you can expect the same off-kilter, fresh air vibe of Hip-Hop influences this side of M.I.A. and related artists. Walk ins are welcome.

Kirk Knight – IIWII

In addition to Joey BADASS‘ success, fellow Pro Era comrade Kirk Knight has been (quietly?) killing the game both behind in the boards and in front of the microphone. With that said, the New York multi-talent returns with a new project titled IIWII, which sees 12 new cuts and a single appearance from Lucille Gotti. Enjoy below.

Mariah Carey – Caution

The fact that Gunna‘s on here is good enough reason to stream at least once. Legendary R&B star Mariah Carey is back with her fifteenth studio album titled Caution, which — in addition to Gunna — sees appearances/production assistance from Blood Orange, Slick Rick, Ty Dolla $ign, Timbaland, Nineteen85, Mustard, Skrillex and more. Birdman & Jacquees – Lost At Sea 2

A couple of years after the original Lost At Sea, Birdman and his more recent Cash Money talent Jacquees deliver the sequel, a 14-track offering that sees additional appearances from Trey Songz and bunch of other artists I’m not yet familiar with. Check out Lost At Sea 2 below.

Nicki Minaj is ready to go full speed ahead following the announcement that her new album Queen would be arriving this August. First, she connects with her (former?) Young Money boss Lil Wayne for the track “Rich Sex,” produced by Aubry “Big Juice” Delaine & Chevi Music’s J. Reid. Nicki takes full control of this banger from the beginning:

I know what these n***as like, and it ain’t my charm
I ain’t stupid, this $250 on my arm
I like money more than d***, n***a, that’s a fact
You think p***y’s everything? Well, let’s have a chat…

Added to the release comes another big announcement: Nicki is also hitting the road with Future for their NickiHndrxx tour, which kicks off a month after Queen is released. Both “Rich Sex” and their tour dates can be seen below.

Either way, 2018 would be an excellent time to let these bodies of work fly.

Ab-Soul – Longterm 3

Now, hear me out on this one: I know this is a bit of a curve-ball, but what better time to receive this than now? Back in 2016, Ab-Soul revealed to the Rap Radar podcast that his highly-coveted Longterm series would be four installments deep — the third would be coming soon and the fourth would be his last album. Longterm 2 dropped 8 years ago, and an album off-shoot — Longterm Mentality — arrived a year later. Given that it’s also been 2 years since Do What Thou Wilt., I’d say that 2018 is the year for another Soul release.

[SIDENOTE: We know that Jay Rock is dropping soon…it would be nice to get some new Isaiah Rashad and ScHoolboy Q as well.]

Yes, I know. You either hate Kanye West, or you really hate Kanye West. With that said, I simply can’t help it: prior to his return to MAGA land, he revealed that he would be producing and dropping albums by Pusha T, Teyana Taylor and freakin’ Nas over the next couple of months. In addition: not only would he be delivering his own follow-up to The Life Of Pablo, but he’d also be liberating a Kids See Ghost joint album with Kid CuDi. Please ‘Ye: Pusha T is supposed to be out this Friday. I hope you’re on schedule in Wyoming.

Lil Wayne – Tha Carter V

Nicki Minaj and Drake are dropping their fourth and fifth albums, respectively, this June. As both artists have remained relatively consistent with their releases, their Young Money boss — Lil Wayne — has literally seen his career in park since 2013’s I Am Not A Human Being II. All that’s happened since is a rather ugly legal and personal battle between Weezy and surrogate father Birdman (there was the Free Weezy Album in 2015, but whether or not it deserves to even count is debatable…also, Dedication 6). A couple of years ago, the New Orleans veteran spoke of a forthcoming album titled Funeral; with that said, everyone is still waiting for the now-mythical Carter V project…the very project that Birdman promised is finally coming. Given that the two have been rather cozy recently, it’s hopeful that the long-awaited album will see the light of day soon.

Travis Scott – Astroworld

So, Wikipedia states that this project is expected to drop Friday. If so, it would be a day to rejoice, given that Travis Scott had promised that Astroworld would arrive last year. Now, that isn’t to say the artist-producer hasn’t been blessing his fans with tunes: December’s Huncho Jack — Scott’s collaborative release with Migos‘ Quavo — has been keeping the fans fed this year. With that said, if Astroworld is anything like Scott’s top tier Rodeo and Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight, then I know that it would be of an entirely different caliber…”Watch” is certainly a good sign of things to come. Plus, maybe we’ll get a heartful tribute to daughter (with Kylie Jenner) Stormi.

50 Cent – Street King Immortal

Lil Wayne continues to fight for his position at the top in spite of his legal issues with the house that Birdman built, which has been keeping albums shelved and creation limited since 2014 — way too long for a legend like Weezy.

Regardless, the New Orleans emcee keeps moving forward. For his latest, he — once again — teams up with DJ Drama for the sixth installment of his highly-coveted Dedication mixtape series, which sees him going in over your favorite beats (From Kendrick Lamar to 21 Savage and everyone in between). Features include (mostly) your usual suspects: Nicki Minaj, Zoey Dollaz, Gudda Gudda and Euro. UPDATE: Added to that is none other than Drake, who joins the fun for crazy freestyle over Jay-Z’s “Family Feud” instrumental (there are even some positive lines in Meek Mill‘s direction).
