Rolling Loud Miami 2022 announces headliners Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar and Future!!

Set for July 22nd – 24th at Hard Rock Stadium, Rolling Loud Miami 2022 also boasts performances from rap superstars Gunna, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, Lil Baby, and Saweetie, meteoric risers Lil Durk, Don Toliver, Baby Keem, City Girls, and Ski Mask The Slump God, plus respected veterans Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Three Six Mafia, and many more! Miami is the original location of Rolling Loud, making this the 7th annual flagship festival from the world’s largest hip hop festival.

Come April 1 and 2, J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival will make its big return to Raleigh, North Carolina. In addition to label stars like Ari Lennox, Bas, Cozz, Lute, EARTHGANG, and Cole himself, Lil Baby, Kehlani, Fivio Foreign, Wale, WizKid, and more will be providing support throughout.

General on-sale tickets for Big Boi’s inaugural Kryptonite Festival are available now. The festival is set to take place at the Cadence Bank Amphitheatre on Saturday April 18^th, 2020.

Live Nation Urban & The Roots team up to present the thirteenth annual “Roots Picnic” which will ne he== Saturday, May 30, 2020 in Philadelphia, PA. This year the Picnic will take place at the Mann at Fairmount Park, for the second consecutive year.

Celebrating its thirteenth-year anniversary, the festival grounds will include 3 stages of music, gaming, art and dialogue. “Roots Picnic” continues to align with music and culture and remains known for careful curation that unites music’s hottest acts, influencers, tastemakers, and thought leaders for one unforgettable day—and this year proudly continues that tradition.

This year the festival will feature performances from Philadelphia’s own Meek Mill, as well as Summer Walker, DaBaby, Snoh Aalegra, Burna Boy, Thundercat and many more. There will be heavy emphasis on collaboration and creativity as The Roots present a curated set celebrating R&B Music, titled The Roots Present SOUL, with special guests Brandy, SWV and Musiq Soulchild who’s celebrating the 20^th anniversary of his seminal album Aijuswanaseing. Additionally, an annual highlight Black Thought and J Period’s “Live Mixtape” will feature breakout Buffalo based rappers Griselda, as well as Wu Tang Clan members Ghostface and Raekwon. Another curation will feature Meshell Ndegeocello: Reimagining Prince and This Thing Called Life. The live podcast experience returns and will include episodes of Around the Way Curls Podcast, The Read and Questlove Supreme as well as CRWN with Elliott Wilson.

Broccoli City Reveals 2020 Festival Lineup And Announces Its Eight Year Returning To The Nation’s Capital

Broccoli City announced the official lineup for Broccoli City Festival 2020 on Wednesday (Jan 22). The eighth annual edition of the organization’s flagship music festival in partnership with Live Nation Urban, will return to the newly redeveloped RFK Campus on Saturday, May 9, 2020 featuring performances by DaBaby, Roddy Ricch, Megan Thee Stallion, Burna Boy, Ari Lennox, Doja Cat, Lucky Daye, IDK, and Soulection. Tickets go on sale Friday, January 24th at 10:00 a.m. EST, exclusively via www.BCFestival.com.

Smino brings Zero Fatigue to Red Bull Music Festival in Chicago

On Saturday, November 23rd, the Red Bull Music Festival in Chicago hosted one hell of an event featuring Smino and his collective, Zero Fatigue. A great pick for the festival, Smino’s blend of future funk and melodic rapping has brought him to the forefront of Chicago’s hip hop and R&B scene, blending warm, organic soul with cutting edge production.

Held at Thalia Hall, the show kicked off with opening acts DJ Nosidam, Schenay Mosley and Monte Booker. Lighting up the room, Smino’s performance lasted about 45 minutes to an hour long. Playing his favorites and top singles, Smino had the crowd lit. The energy was on point and I’m sure everyone that attended could agree. Thumbs up for this night with Smino and his talented set, Zero Fatigue.

Lupe Fiasco Performs the Entirety of his 2006 Album “Food & Liquor” in Chicago at Red Bull Music Festival

Blessed to have attended, the Red Bull Music Festival continued November 21st, 2019 with none other than Lupe Fiasco. Sold out on a Thursday, it was hands down a night to remember and one for the books.

Hosted at The Riviera Theater in Chicago, opening acts arose from Kidd Kenn, Two Depressed Kids, and The Twilite Tone. These three acts set the mood for Lupe Fiasco to own the stage and he did just that.

Chicago-born rapper, Lupe Fiasco gave the crowd a passionate performance of a lifetime, reciting his entire 2006 album Food & Liquor. An album that touched millions of listeners in 2006, Lupe Fiasco was able to reciprocate the same feelings and energy back to his hometown 13 years later. A magical night for Chicago, Fiasco’s performance lasted around 2 hours and included a charismatic band featuring horns and violins. Cinematic, holding nothing back, Lupe Fiasco delivered an intimate, three minute speech (outro) towards the end of the show.

Lupe Fiasco appeared on stage the whole time in a Bulls jersey stamped with his name on the back. Thanks to Red Bull for hosting the Grammy Award-winning rapper, Lupe Fiasco, Chicago could appreciate once more what Lupe has done for the music industry with just this one classic album as well as the path he paved for all the artists to come after him. Overall, an impressive and aesthetically pleasing show, I would definitely give it a five out of five stars.
