NeverLeveled founded in 2015 by Founder & CEO Guy B Duhon Jr and President Lamar Brumfield has produced many live entertainment events such as their own Culture A Destination Festival, Live Nations How The West Was Won, SXSW, many local comedy shows, concerts and television series. Built on loyalty and respect, the company has worked with the likes of, DC Young Fly, Desi Banks, Janet Jackson, Chris Duhon, Matt Forte, NFL Linebacker Tim Williams, Artist Keenan Chapman, Iman Omari, Pee Rarie, V Bozeman, KD Aubert, Compton AD, OG Cuicide and the list continues. In speaking to Guy & Lamar, they look to continue their Soul & Paint production fall of 2020, within the conversation it was mentioned they will roll out their network NeverLeveled.tv. The network consists of Live Television, Netflix, YouTube, Zoom and Socialmedia combined, with various of ways to interact. We were extremely surprised of the platform technology and capabilities. The virtual concert and live entertainment aspect make their platform more advance than many. The lineup they’ll build up to for live entertainment is unheard of and you add major & independent films, podcasts, news, weather, various live entertainment, content creators and the staff onboard as creators. NeverLeveled has earned our respect and we’re looking forward to their launch date.

North Carolina rapper Rapsody will be hitting the road this year in support her latest effort titled Eve. The impressive lyricist rightfully named the tour A Black Woman Created This, remaining parallel to the theme of her sophomore album. Moreover, Eve circles around women empowerment and freedom amongst other things. The tour kicks off on February 4 in Philadelphia with the final stop being March 13 in Raleigh, NC where she resides.

Joining Rapsody on tour is rapper and producer Niko Brim, an emerging talent making noise in New York. Without a doubt, this irrefutable talent has catapulted his career to the next level organically landing himself on some major stages as a part of the ABWCT line-up. Niko is set to take the stage by storm for the tour’s stop in Brooklyn, NY 2/6, New Haven, CT 2/9 and Burlington, VT 2/11. Check out the tour dates here.

Growing up in the South and relocating to Brooklyn, NY, Wiranda Warie (Dallas) and Q. Elle (Atlanta) have a lot to be proud of yet very much to accomplish. This forthcoming weekend they share Candy Paint, not only a party but an ode to the southern culture that raised them. Both having experience in event coordination, the two decided to tag everyone with Southern upbringings in New York’s underground party scene.

Tennessee-native DJ Mike Nasty will be providing the sounds alongside Texas-natives VivaLaTina and Brndn Blue. Su$hi Ceej from ATL’s beloved Two-9 will also be giving a special DJ set; with more Atlanta energy from the emcee for the day, singer-songwriter Kayla Steen. Guests will be able to get custom airbrush clothing as well as tooth gems; while guys prepare to catch girls reminiscing on the cultural importance of the twerk. The event will be located at Cafe Erzulie on 864 Broadway BK, NY 11206 on September 8th. Peep the Bknott-directed trailer below.

After some fairly cryptic advertising, London Grime and Rap legend Kano has officially announced his new album to be titled Hoodies All Summer, which will feature 10 new tracks and see appearances from Kojo Funds, Popcaan, Lil Silva, D Double E and Ghetts. The announcement was also accompanied by a powerful short visual for the track “Trouble,” which was directed by Aneil Karia and focuses on a tragic murder due to knife crime (a big problem in London right now) and its aftermath. The D Double E and Ghetts-assisted “Class of Deja” is also included as a second part to the emotionally-charged clip.

Kano explained the film to VICE:

“I wanted people to not be able to turn it off… It’s not at the end of the song, not at the beginning, it’s right in the middle, right as you were having fun — because every day, as you’re going through your life and having fun, this is what’s happening. It’s easy to turn away when it’s not you or not your kid, but there you go: it’s in your face right now. It’s sad, man.”

Check out “Trouble” and the tracklisting for Hoodies All Summer below; the album is set to make landfall August 30th (pre-order here). Also added: forthcoming UK tour dates this Fall in support of the album. This is Kano’s year now, indeed.

It was a night to remember Wednesday watching Angela Yee’s Lip Service podcast live. Walking into the atmosphere, it was lavish! It was the perfect fit for the audience coming in after a long day of work. Entering Sony Hall, you can see the bar and tables with comforting candles sitting in the middle. The venue echoed with sounds by DJ Tai Jasper and the stage was set for the controversial topics that made the night full of laughs and gasps.

Lip Service live was one of the best podcasts we have seen live. The cast Angela Yee, Lore’l, Gigi Maguire, and Stephanie Santiago are hilarious and made the crowd feel right at home. Nothing was off limits. Special guest Dave East wasn’t able to make it but Trina and celebrity couple Khadeen and Devale Ellis hit the stage and the night was still a huge success. They brought truth and their natural selves. They were ready to talk about anything! At the end of the show, Gigi made the crowd lit or as she called it, “Driving the boat.” She poured the crowd drinks and passed them the mic. Attendees shared their personal experiences regarding the various topics presented by the cast. Yes, nothing was off limits. The night ended with a twerk contest and free t-shirts being thrown into the audience. Lip Service is growing fast and we can’t wait for this podcast to do a tour.
