Coming off his recent record “Sacrifices,” G-Eyez is back with a hot record and he isn’t alone this time. Reinforced with strong vocals by the duo known as Usual Suspecktz ( Bobbyo & Medisin,) Allows G-Eyez to do what he does best, which is Laying down bars.

Laidback and enjoying themselves looking forward to nothing more than celebrating life in the moment, one thing is for sure that they live for the nights to remember. Making sure their situations are all in order and everyone is taken care of is priority number one, then the fun comes later. Finding your own lane isn’t easy but understanding that trial and error is apart of the game, but looking to the future and getting it anyway you can is the motto.

As usual G-Eyez brings nothing but excellence to the table with precision bars, lyricism, and style. On the rise with a clear vision on where they’re headed sky’s the limit.

Moving as silent as most bosses do, Celly Bucks sets the bar just a little higher and raises awareness in Lynn, MA. When listening to Celly, it’s almost as if you’re walking in his shoes through his vivd imagery. Being able to spot an artist that is a natural product of his environment is like finding a diamond in a haystack. Coming from the North Shore, it’s easier said than done when it comes to getting involved in Boston’s music scene. We got a chance to speak to Celly Bucks about the current state in which the North Shore is in.

Get into the interview below.

RESPECT.: Where are you from originally? What sparked your interest in music?

I was born and raised in the westside of Lynn, MA, where I found my interest in music. I got interested in music originally from an early age, but mostly by family — my father and uncle used to surround me with nothing but music. Everyone was always in the studio, so you could say that it was my blood.

RESPECT.: Coming from the North Shore, do you think there is dark cloud hovering over it? Did you think the North Shore is slept on? If so, explain why?

There’s a thunderstorm over here. It’s dark over here with no one looking towards us to even be given a chance. Boston is more of a sport state, so when it comes to music, especially in the North Shore, things tend to take a lot longer to pop-off.

RESPECT.: So you recently dropped your most official tape Gorilla Season…what are your personal favorites off the project?

My favorites have to be “Intro” and “Gorrilla Talk” with OC GainPeso, as well as the “Outro” featuring Johnny Nash. I was already planning the tape out beforehand, taking my time and making sure that I was able to mold the project correctly, specifically with the flow of features.

Celly Bucks

RESPECT.: What does this project mean to you? Was there anything you said on a record that really hit home?

I feel like all my lyrics come from a specific place; all of it real, nothing fake. My main goal is to turn heads with this tape, considering that everyone was doubting me since I didn’t have much music out. Everyone knew I could rap, but with this tape my goal was to prove that I take my craft serious, and aside from that, I won’t be letting my foot off the gas.

RESPECT.: With the tape out, what do you have planned next?

As of right now i’ve been trying to rap-up these videos so we can start booking shows. I’ve been contemplating on dropping a EP around aseven songs and start getting more features and getting into the Boston scene. If i could make it happen id like to collaborate with eitherRosewood Bape, Millyz, Cousin Stizz, & Fasscoupe.

RESPECT.: What is your ritual that you do to get yourself ready to record a record ? How do you go about best selection ?

We getting real high and real smokey. I probably listen to a thousand beats and like ten of them, which makes the process that much longer due to the fact that I’m very picky. If you notice on the tape theres a lot of instrumentals with pianos complemented with hard bass, which in some cases i’d say is my bread and butter.

Celly Bucks wrapping up the interview with Ricky Rosario

RESPECT.: Aside from yourself who else would you consider contenders within the North Shore ?

I don’t think there is any competition but as for contenders I can say that from our area we have artists like Johnny Nash, C Wells, Jimmy Zoe, & OC GainPeso. Theres a lot of artist doing their thing but I’m not really paying attention to anyone else because i know they are paying attention to me. As long as they don’t mention my name in their songs then there wont be any problems.

RESPECT.: What does respect mean for you?

Respect goes hand-in-hand with one of two things: first is your demeanor and second is your movement. If you prove to be a cool person and never showing any weird vibes and always come correct. Respect is the most important thing you can have aside from that you have you’re actions and your word. If they don’t respect you they most definitely aren’t listening to your catalog and if they don’t believe you then they wont respect you.

To the Hispanic/Latino community, Morir Soñando means “to die dreaming,” but in the city of Lawrence, MA, it is a platform. This platform allows you to not only to immerse yourself in surrounding cultures, but to also let go and express yourself.

Being able to express yourself requires you to show the good and the bad of your own reality, no matter the stakes.

This being the second time Morir Soñando has been put together, it’s gotten nothing but positive feedback. The movement was created by Nilson Mata, who’s goal was to both curate an event and create hype around it, bringing the community together for something bigger than themselves.

For those who come to enjoy these shows, they come from families who’ve migrated to the United States. This means that they are no strangers to understanding what it takes to sacrifice all they know for a better life.

Putting everything at risk is something those of migrated decent have in their blood. They are willing to strive for something greater even if there are no guarantees. Morir Soñando Two was a mixture of everything creative, including spoken word, music, fashion, interpretive dancing, art, and cultural cuisine.

This time around, attendees also enjoyed stand-up comedy, cultural dances, battle Rap, a boxing match and more. Strictly doing it for the culture, Hispanic cuisine was served alongside the famous Dominican drink — also called morir soñando — for free. Everyone is welcome to Morir Soñando Three to shape a better future for the community.

With all the new music being released now-a-days, it’s almost impossible to be fond of just one artist/musician, but Vory is ready to have the limelight on him. Assuming that not many have heard of Vory, it’s about time you get acquainted.

Mainly known for his contribution on “Don’t” alongside his Kentucky peer Bryson Tiller, Vory has been behind the scenes for quite sometime. The recent release of his project Lucky Me has taken the majority of streaming services by storm, bringing a new level of energy to the masses. Being able to produce a final product such as this isn’t easy, and only comes by being precise and being able to soak in all the good and bad around you.

Lucky Me is a six-song EP that provides a a distinct style of R&B, a melodic feel that somehow adds to the mystery of Vory’s image. Having that Tiller co-sign allowed more doors to open, giving him the opportunity to flourish properly the way he sees fit.

With the chance to make a difference, not only for himself, but for future artists to come, Vory is the one carrying the baton to the finish line. With there being so many creatives throughout the world, not many get the chance to step up and show their worth. Lucky Me is more of a story than anything, putting into perspective one’s ability to change the world just by being themselvs.

Bringing that new energetic flavor to listeners ears is the dynamic duo better known as Deco Fam. With Deco Ho Chi Mayne and Deco STLN, alongside their resident producer/DJ SUPR SPRT, we have two Haitians and a Russian redefining what it means to be creatively bold in 2018.

Giving off a different vibe on every record, Deco Fam has been finessing their way to the top. With their debutproject ChinaTown still fresh, it doesn’t take long to notice that the whimsical melodies of Ho Chi Mayne paired with the rich wordplay of STLN complement each other perfectly on records. Born and raised in Miami-Dade County, the duo are not your typical rappers. As classically trained footwear designers, they have designed for big brands including Converse, Reebok, Under Armour, and most recently PUMA. Having spent the majority of their professional careers at PUMA, you have seen their designs at the forefront of partnerships with The Weekend, Fenty, Selena Gomez and Jay-Z.

The sky is the limit for these guys as they continue to push the culture forward to expanding the boundaries of hip hop. Having a strong sense of style, Deco Fam resembles the art form of Art Deco. Art Deco is a style of visual arts, architecture and designs that paved the way for the designers of the future. Deco Fam prove to be the odd ones out, breaking any and every barrier in their way.

Always delivering nothing but high quality verses, Cambridge’s own Millyz is starting to set in stone his role in this game. Coming off his recently released album Blanco, Millyz came in hot not even thinking about slowing down.

Having been making noise all of 2017, Millyz wastes no time and gets right to business. Always going in on instrumentals, Boston’s own steps up to the plate and hops on Drakes “Mob Ties.” Being completely comfortable with his skill set as an artist, he lays down serious bars while keeping it settled and friendly (for now). Never caring about anyone else’s opinions or thoughts, the only thing that concerns him is who is going to ride for him.

Proving his lyricism (not only to the veterans in the game, but to everyone else), it’s clear that Millyz doesn’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon.

Filled with a certain skill set that only veterans in the game acquire over time, Deco Fam displays they’re hunger for music on their recently released project ChinaTown. Deco Fam is made-up of two artists who go by the names of Deco Ho Chi Mayne and Deco STLN.

Having held a private listening for their new material on Monday at Laced Boston (hosted by KillerBoomBox), Deco Fam gave select ears just a taste of what is to come. Growing as an artist, you not only gain popularity and fans but you lose sense of who is actually keeping it a hundred with you. Moving forward with their artistry, Deco Fam aim high to produce music that creates the perfect vibe. In the mean time, Deco Fam is more concerned with finding less fans and more fam.

You can stream ChinaTown below.
