Actress Jonica Booth who some may know from season 12 of reality series Bad Girls Club stars in Issa Rae’s well-reviewed comedy series Rap Sh!t on HBO Max. The show follows two estranged high school friends from Miami who come back together to form a rap group. Jonica plays Chastity, a “sex work manager” who refers to herself as the “Duke of Miami.” Created by Issa and executive produced by rap group the City Girls the show gives us a look into what it takes to survive in the rap game as female MC’s.
Ahead of the show’s season finale, we got a chance to chop it up with Jonica to discuss her character as ‘Chastity’, her favorite part of filming, dream actor/actress to work with + much more. Get into the interview audio below.
