After wrapping an electrifying show at Webster Hall in NYC on Monday, opening for Wale on his Under The Blue Moon Tour, Grammy-nominated & Platinum Oakland-based rapper, Guapdad 4000 continues to spread his signature Bay Area swag no matter where he is or what he’s on. This time he has teamed up with dance music mainstay Valentino Khan for an intrepid hard-hitting collaboration titled “Fearless“, which was featured in the latest trailer for Riot Games’ wildly popular video game, Valorant. The single, courtesy of PARADISE RISING / 88rising Music, is off the back of his 1176 LP released this past March.
Initially intended to live exclusively on the Valorant’s Episode 4: Act 1 Kickoff trailer, fans rallied around the track, bringing in nearly 2M views on the trailer in the first two weeks of its release; it prompted Guapdad 4000 and Valentino Khan to surprise fans with the song’s official release alongside a lyric video. “I’m excited gamers are taking to the song,” shared Guapdad 4000. “You don’t understand, I felt such a sense of power when recording ‘Fearless.’ I knew if the song’s energy ever blew up at a festival, I could control the crowd; I could power everything.” A sonic declaration of bold artistry and a testament to Guapdad’s boundless talent, the record serves as a reminder of the nimble command and consistency he wields over his unique Oakland style amid any genre.
