Harlem-native singer/songwriter/rapper, Audrey Ducasse known as Melii is one of the most versatile women in music. She is poetic in execution, and creates a musical synergy between both her personal and analytical sides. And while she seems to do this rather effortlessly, at just 24, Melii has grown through her experiences. Like her heritage, her music is a blend of genres—soft and desirable, yet seductive and edgy. Now, strapped with experience and wealth of wisdom, Melii will not be marginalized. She’s the epitome of a modern day around-the-way girl with razor sharp lyrics and a cadence that can stand up to any of her male counterparts.
In 2019, the rising artist shared her highly anticipated EP MOTIONS. On the seven-track EP Melli showcased her unapologetic yet vulnerable songwriting that made her one of 2019’s most exciting breakout stars. The EP featured passionate singles “TM Interlude” and “No Hard Feelings” and “Nena,” a Latin-flavored track that landed on the Alt.Latino Playlist from NPR. In line with her EP Melii brought her magnetic stage presence to LVRN/Intersope Records artist, Summer Walkers, The First and Last Tour.
We got a chance to speak with Melii to discuss her musical inspirations, her dream collaboration, forthcoming project + much more.
