adidas today launched a new Impossible is Nothing film featuring Utah superstar Donovan Mitchell. The 30-second video focuses on how Donovan chose to ignore the maybes and inspire a generation time-and-time again. Narrated by rapper Royce da 5’9”, the spot will air nationally and during local broadcasts of Donovan’s games in the weeks ahead.
Donovan’s rise to stardom isn’t only because of his on-court talent, but also due to his dedication to creating positive change off the court which makes him the all-star his friends, family and community know him as. He lives by his Determination Over Negativity mantra every single day.

This holiday season, adidas Basketball teamed up with our signature athletes, including Donovan Mitchell, to provide 1,500 basketballs to local community centers across the country. 350 went to kids in the Salt Lake City community through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah and The Sharing Place, giving them access to the sport they love.
In June, Donovan and adidas Basketball held a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at The Children’s Village in Dobbs Ferry, NY where he and his family refurbished the outdoor basketball courts and planted a garden in honor of his grandmother, Blossom Wright, who passed in 2020. Nicole Mitchell, Donovan’s mother, spent most of her childhood in the faculty housing portion of The Children’s Village. She now manages SPIDACARES, which is Donovan’s foundation, focused on giving back to families. Photos available here.
