Lonr. eliminates barriers between genres with his sharp songwriting and passionate, soul-baring vocals. Welcoming listeners into his unique sonic realm, Lonr. announces Land Of Nothing Real 2, his second project. The project’s songs are packed with mold-breaking sonics and complex emotional storytelling, buoyed by Lonr.’s soaring hooks, innate musicality, and clever lyrics, which worm their way into consciousness. With a hand in the production of each of the project’s 8 songs, Lonr. offers romantic ballads like the recently released “Read My Mind” ft. Yung Bleu (475k YouTube views), devastating putdowns like “Say Less,” and rock-influenced ragers like “Rent Free.” Featuring an additional appearance from Coi Leray, Land Of Nothing Real 2 arrives on October 1st via Epic Records.
Along with the announcement of the project, Lonr. shares “Red Light,” the project’s opening track. Dominated by buzzing synths and Lonr.’s inimitable voice, “Red Light” blazes bright during its short runtime, with an insistent pulse and bass-heavy beat perfectly suited for mosh pit aggression. The 24-year-old artist vents his frustration, lashing out at fake friends and those who would put up obstacles on his path to superstardom.
Land Of Nothing Real 2 is the latest step in Lonr.’s upward music-making trajectory, which originated in his hometown of Onset, a small town in Massachusetts near Cape Cod. Citing influences that range from Kurt Cobain to Andre 3000 to Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, Lonr.’s unique musical sensibility caught the attention of H.E.R., who became a frequent collaborator of his, including on Lonr.’s 2020 Billboard #1 Urban AC hit “Make The Most,” which Lonr. performed at the 2020 BET Awards. After earning three GRAMMY nominations working with H.E.R., Lonr. broke out in a big way in late 2019 with his song “AM,” which caught fire on TikTok to the tune of over 1 million video creations and racked up over 28 million streams on Spotify alone.
