Earlier today, Sotheby’s unveiled a new drop of approximately 20 Nike Air Force 1 sneakers available for immediate purchase through Sotheby’s Buy Now Sneaker Shop.
This drop includes some of the rarest and most coveted editions of the quintessential sneaker: AF1 Lows made exclusively for 10-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony; a pair of privately released white on whites made in celebration of JAY-Z’s 40/40 Club in New York; and LeBron James’ “Four Horsemen” design, created to honor the basketball legend, to name a few.
Introduced in 1982, Nike’s iconic Air Force 1 design was the first basketball shoe to feature Nike Air cushioning, and was originally released as a high top. The perennially popular low-cut silhouette would hit retail the following year, and has become one of the most beloved sneaker designs in the world.
Each week Sotheby’s Buy Now Sneaker Shop will drop a new offering of Air Force 1s, as well as other coveted sneaker models, from the collection of entrepreneur and collector Puneet Singh. Stay tuned for more drops in the Buy Now Sneaker Shop in the coming weeks.
