Releasing April 21st, 2021, heritage streetwear brand Alife, is pleased to unveil its latest collaboration, a limited-edition t-shirt and hoodie, in partnership with No Agency New York. Featuring the agency’s signature tagline, “WHAT PART OF NO DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND?” custom printed on Alife heavyweight cotton blanks, the new designs mark the third branded clothing collaboration developed with No Agency New York (Depop, Café Forgot).
With images of the collection shot by legendary New York photographer Richard Kern featuring a lineup of No Agency talent, the collaboration is a celebration of New York City and its eras, past, present, and future. Combining artistic influences of a photographer shaped by the underground art scene of the East Village in the ‘80s, capturing a streetwear brand founded at the turn of the century, styled on talent that represent the diverse look of Gen-Z, the images synthesize nearly half a century of NYC’s artistic influence.
Merging generations of independent creatives and their respective visions, the campaign is imbued with cultural juxtaposition, between the classic and new, the vintage and the modern. With simple styling and a stark set, the campaign images channel an unequivocally downtown feel, cutting to the core of what truly makes the collaboration: the clothing.
An ode to the gritty art scene whose roots are entrenched from 14th Street and below, the Alife x No Agency collaboration is a toast to the culture of downtown NYC that will always live on.
The collaboration will be available at alifenewyork.com.
