Today, “Moxie” co-stars Alycia Pasqual-Peña & Hadley Robinson stop by MTV’s “Fresh Out Live” to chat with host Jamila Mustafa about their new Netflix movie. The duo open up about working with the legendary Amy Poehler, tell MTV how their real-life experiences impacted each of their characters and hand out superlatives to their fellow castmates. Plus Zara Larsson joins for a can’t-miss performance of her new single, “Poster Girl.”
Hadley Robinson (“Vivian”) on co-star and director Amy Poehler being a “guiding force” on-set:
- “Amy was great from day one. She just came in with a burst of excitement and energy. I remember getting a call from her for the first time and her kind of squealing and being like ‘it’s happening!’ And then she brought that energy onto set and on a day-to-day basis…I think we all felt very lucky to be on set with her, to have her as a guiding force.”
Alycia Pasqual-Peña (“Lucy”) on finding similarities to her character:
- “I was able to immediately viscerally connect with Lucy, because I felt all of those moments that she experiences within the film in my own personal life…I was the girl that was known for making people uncomfortable because I’ve always been a rebel with a cause.”
